^ That's what I was thinking.

Have you removed some kind of spacer/adapter for these last two pics? It appears to be lower again. The butterfly valve linkage will need that hole in the bonnet to be extended I am guessing?

Theres a place in NZ that actually mods these hats so they have same look as what WHY-PSI is going for. Seems to work.

Theres a torana that was featured in Street Machine from NZ that had one. BLOFLY was the number plates.

Yeah it looks the goods low, but like the others im wondering how it will go as far as flow to the carb.

Coming along nice, time to get the jigsaw out again, or i suppose you could remove the catcher each time you pop the bonnet, cause it definitely looks good with the hole nice and tight around the blower.

But if you want the catcher that low, why dont you rig up efi instead???
Use the bug catcher as a throttle body, and just graft a fuel rail and injectors on it, run it through a Delco computer or something like that, would be great i reckon.

Great work either way mate, keep it coming.

Cheers.

yeah turned the adaptor on the bottom upside down to get it sitting lower. it will have to come up a bit though, im going to try and fit a 2 inch air filter inside. i would love to go injection, but cant use the bugcatcher as a throttle body as bugcatchers are just for looks, for injection id have to fork out big bucks for an enderle injector hat.

going to cut the bonnet out more. mate said to just take the scoop off when i open the bonnet, but if i ever have a fire, i want to get it up pretty quick without trying to take the scoop off with flames dancing round the scoop.
