Whypsi, your on mate, I'll give ya a ride in the HB for sure!

Also the scoop that hides the carbies is called a 'Garlits' bug catcher. They are very expensive, around $1300-1500, my aswell go injection for that money on a fricken scoop! :gun:

On another note. Good to see ya colour coded the scoop like my HB, they look much better matching! :spoton:

haha awesome :spoton:

i seen the garlits scoops, and thats what inspired me to do it too, price turned me off though, so got a secondhand bugcatcher and will make brackets up and chop it up a bit to fit, going off pics on their site. pretty much shows me wat to do :)

Street catcher scoop

i was going to do the butterflys either the same blue as the body, roange like the stripe, or red. pretty happy with the orange

Yeah buddy, looks awesome, gives it more of a lift. When the hell is the next driving event in SA, I have the urge to thrash the hb all the time now... Thats not good as I'll get tempted on the street too often! :furious:

cut out the bottom of the bugcatcher for clearance for carb linkages and fuel lines, sits nice. got bored, so put a bugcatcher on my mini me to match.

spent the morning making a box to enclose the bottom half of the carby. now no more carb showing :)

and cost me a quarter of the price of the Garlits kit from the states to do the same thing :)

scoop is now mounted. took a bit of thinking but its done. theres an air filter inside to keep out nasties. will change to a k&n one, the cheapo one is just to set up.
now just gotta add a bracket for the throttle cable and fuel pressure gauge mount :)

exhaust is starting to take shape. flanged at the extractors into 2 1/2". all bends are manderal bends, using a ricer cannon thats been hanging on the wall in my garage for ages. modified by cutting off the stupid 4 inch tip and welding in a 2 1/2" dump which will dump just before the diff. should be loud as the cannon is just a resonator :)
