Good to see it all came together in the end
How much clearnace between flare and rear tyres ?
i.e could they have been offset further out to fill the flares ?

What should I do with the rocker covers. Black, orange or full polish? What's the consensus?

Are the moulding around the upper door been polished or std. If polished have to painted them in clear of some sort or have you kept them polished.
Not sure what you mean. I assume you are meaning the steel trim. If so it's std, scratches & all. Not polished or cleared.

Yeah, a matt black (like the CHEV rocker covers) with the Highlights in orange!
Agreed and black for the radiator core so you cannt se the alloy when looking at the front

A black flywire screen will stop the bugs and hide the radiator.

As for the rocker covers, I agree with Andy, wrinkle finish matt black, but no orange highlights, the 80s are over people : )
Again though, great work.

Just have to put up the smell as the paint cures. I tried baking 1 in the oven, but the smell droves us out of the house!
Instruments are at Howard Instruments getting rewound & calibrated after the voltage regulator shat itself. So, another 3 weeks of not turning a wheel....

Can you get an alloy cap for the rocker cover? That one looks a little plasticcy and I think something in polished alloy would be a bit more classy, still looks great though
...you can't drive it without an instrument cluster?

I reckon you could drive it without the dash, but I'm not that keen.

The wrinkle finish on the rocker covers is perfect. Good choice.
As for the cap, just paint it wrinkle finish too.
All it needs now is a 4" tall air filter element : )

I ran a 1" bakerlite spacer under a modified 750 double pumper on an edelbrock torker manifold with a K&N 4" element and an airbox. It was a great combo, and I could see the air cleaner wobble about inside the scoop while I was driving : ) I know, small things amuse small minds. hahaha.
Sorry about the 3 pics, it's only the last one I wanted to show you, but that's how I scanned them into photobucket a while ago.
It was a good setup, until I replaced it with a tunnel ram and twin 600s. Now that was a good setup : ) Except I had to make the scoop taller to fit it.
