Yeah, just need to get all the contents together! Bloody shed isn't big enough, but I don't think I'll be allowed to delete the garden anymore to expand the shedWOW that garage had some nice contents!

A bit busy in this corner.
We are moving along slowly, but at least it's progressing now...

just a quick question what sort of booster and master cylinder are you running??
From memory, the back half is Torana & the front half is dunnydore. Master cylinder is XC falcon. Datto did the booster for me.
Must be so satisfying walking out to the shed and seeing in there!
Yeah it is. Will be even better when the bugger's back on the road! The kids are wrecking the place with me & the missus in the shed all weekend...
how much did it cost to put the dynamat in
The Dynamat was $190 for 9 sheets. We will probably use 18 sheets. I hope. We also want to do inside the spare wheel area & then might throw some carpet in there. I was going to ask Boomfunk if he could knock us up a carpet for there.
Thanks for the comments guys.

We have the K frame out to overhaul & repaint, then the driveline can go in & then it's time for the wiring. We are really itching to get the dash back in but I''m sure the sparky wouldn't want too much gear in his way for the rewire job.
The door trims have turned up. I ended up going direct to Easterns & got a set in 3 weeks.
I have a sound system to fit. It won't be hard as it's 2 6x9's & an amp which we will plug a ipod directly into.
All slowly moving along, not as quick as I would like but when you only have weekends & kids to also entertain the time is limited.
Cheers.

Just a thought, front seat mounting will require you to cut out the sound proofing where the seats mount to the floor pan. Fiddly sh!t but it must sit completely against the pan or the seats will come loose for ever.
Also, why not clean/repair the original wiring loom out of the car and just lay it back in?
I did with clothes washing powder in the laundry sink (drove the wife nuts).
Tip thou, don't leave it in the suds too long as whilst the original loop tape has no adhesive, any past repairs with tape with glue will dissolve.
Cheers

We already have a new wiring loom so we may as well use it up. The old loom would certainly be easier & cheaper, but nothing so far has been easy or cheap so we may as well keep the theme happening
Cheers.

Thanks for the pointer on the seats Baron. I'll get the trimmer (Missus) onto it!

As for rims they will probably be someing from Billet Specialities. 17x8's & 17x9 or 10's. Thats the plan anyway. Hope the Aussie dollar goes back up by the time we need them. They appear to be good value.

mmm so it's not going to be 100% legal then ???
I though i was pushing it with 17x7's front and 17x8's rear (17x7's are the legal maximum for WA)

I'll either get the Longbeach, Vintiques, Billet spec. or the Year One 17x10 Snowflakes just like the original Yellow hatch concept car had except bigger.

Not entirely.....
I could get away with 8's easy enough as the license centre has already gave me that, however if you go off the new laws we should be able to run 9's..
We will see. I'm 42 with grey hair so everyone I talk to tell me to go to 10's

7" rims were the legal maximum in WA before WA adopted the NCOP. Under the NCOP (page 16) rim width is unlimited but must be appropriate for the tyre fitted. The tyre width and diameter is limited to a maximum of 1.3 time the widest optional tyre fitted by the manufacturer and the diameter must not be more than 15 mm smaller or 25 mm larger than any tyre designated by the manufacturer for that model.mmm so it's not going to be 100% legal then ???

The SS tyre is a CR70H13 which is approximately 200/70/13 with a approximate diameter of 610 mm.
The A9X tyre is a DR70H14 which is approximately 200/70/14 with a approximate diameter of 636 mm.
If the SS tyre is accepted then the maximum width is 200 * 1.3 = 260 and the maximum diameter is 610 + 25 = 635 mm.
You may be able to convince the DPI that the metric equivalent of a CR70H13 is 205/70/13 in which case the maximum width is 205 * 1.3 = 266 mm and the maximum diameter is 617 + 25 = 642 mm.
The 235/40/17 tyre has a diameter of 620 mm and requires a rim 8.0 to 9.5 inches wide, I have approval for this tyre on my LX hatch.
If the A9X tyre is accepted then the maximum width is 200 * 1.3 = 260 and the maximum diameter is 636 + 25 = 661 mm.
You may be able to convince the DPI that the metric equivalent of a DR70H14 is 205/70/14 in which case the maximum width is 205 * 1.3 = 266 mm and the maximum diameter is 643 + 25 = 668 mm.
This means a 265/35/17 which requires a 9.0-10.5 inch rim would be legal.

I wish that shed was mine. That's where the panel work was done. My shed's barely big enough for 1 car!

I really should read that code.
ls2lxhatch would you fill in my "Modification application" for me ?

Also in earlier pics the engine bay is orange but in the last ones it looks a tan colour. Is it just the way it looks in the camera phone?
cheers,
Scott.

As for the colour change it must be the phone. The shed faces north so it gets some sun in the shed & the camera in the phone doesn't seem to be able to handle the extra light (I presume).
Cheers.
