Rolled it out of the shed & gave it a wash.
Dropped the motor in this morning & the bloody clutch master cylinder hits the rocker cover. I'll have to chat with Mal Wood tomorrow
Then we had trouble getting the TKO into spot. I think it's just because we can't get the engine to drop down far enough to get the right angle, but it will have to wait another week now
It's getting frustrating...

Thanks for the encouragement fella's. Made the decision overnight to pull the motor out, move the master cylinder higher. Replace the brake lines with braided lines which will also make some more room around the rocker covers. Then we can also measure up WTF is going on with the TKO.

Using the above method I can fit the k-frame with the LS2, headers and transmission in under 30 minutes.
Well, we've got the diff in, brakes all bled a bit too easy. Fuel tank in & got some 16x7 commodore rims to roll it around on, or so we thought, as the r/h rear tyre rubs & the l/h is clear by about 10mm.......
Have you checked the backspace is the same on all your commodore rims?

Getting some Dynamat down. We intend o do the complete floor right into the spare wheel well. (soory about the phone photos)
A bit busy in this corner.
We are moving along slowly, but at least it's progressing now...
Looking at these pics...your clutch master is WAY too low...no way in the world it will clear the rockers/engine in any way. The heads/rockers sit back within 15mm of the firewall...sorry to deliver bad news .....

Andy,
The rims were all off the same car so I'm assuming they are the same. There is bugger all room there for these rims anyhow & it could only be 5mm out either side to cause this. Just to have to make sure when Stan measures it we go on the right hand side

And right you were Rory
Lets hope the new under dash setup works....
Also,
Is there different height MSD Dissy's available? Mine sits in the wrong place. I told Bob it was going in Rana & space was limited so we used the smallet cap but, sheesh, the dissy is tall

Finally, after xmas, school holidays, building a shed down the coast, trying build a house, running & trying to sell our business - I have got something done on the Torrie. Got some small flexible brake lines with banjo fittings made & joined them up to the hard brake lines. Took 3 goes to get the double flare right. I was running out of line on the rear!. The missus has also got good at bleeding the brakes.
Sorted out the under dash master & lines. Should have enough room there now!
A pic of the shed...
Will try to get the motor back in soon, but the bloody block we want to build the house on needs slashing again

Mine gets about 2 inches from the floor before hitting it, so I'm having to cut it and reweld it myself.

Found the MSD dissy is too tall.... What have other people found here?
Looks like the rear on the engine needs to go down a bit more, but it can't. I can't come forward any either. It needs a shorter dissy. Do MSD make shorter shaft dissies?

Looks like we need to talk to boomfunk. At least he knows what Torries are supposed to have in them. We should've been talking to him from the start.

We are supposed to have a MSD 8589 dissy but the picture below shows that the 8589 only has about 50mm fom the mount to bottom of cap, ours has 110.
If the engine could come down, we could fit the spacers & bring the rear up.

Your angle of the dangle looks too down at the back.
Ask Welby as he has the same setup and has been chasing vibrations.

Are you suffering from HQ engine mount-itis?
Might be. Here's 1 of my mounts.
