Been messing around with plugs, leads, dissy cap in an effort to track down the miss. Had to re set the tappet clearance, as they were all very loose. Engine sounds alive again now but still has a funny choof out the left hand pipe. almost sounds like a burnt valve. It does clean up after 10 mins or so, so I'll leave it for now & get it licensed.

Rear rims arrived, the front rims were incorrect, so we have another 4 week wait. Trying to aim for license next week on the Commodore rims.

I have a TKO 600 for my hatch, did you have to move the shifter position or did you leave it in the standard position as in the photo of it siting in the box?

89King, you jinxed me! All was sweet at the license inspection. Graeme (the inspector) was that wrapped with the car all he wante to do was get in it for the test drive! All passed & sweet, faxed the forms to head office, should be good to go in a couple of hours. Head office, or is that orrifice, rang him & they wren't happy with the tyre size. Said they are too tall. Graeme said that's because they are on Commodore rims with Commodore hubs. Oh, says head office, it's a modified car then, here's the form to fill in......
Now I need an engineers who wouldn't mind a pleasant drive out to the country.
I did get to drive it for about a kilometre. Higlight of the week.
