Yes i was at the 2003 Toranafest. Drove the LJ all the way up and back. Had a great time. Even managed to win the 'Furtherest Distance' Award, along with check out some awesome torrys including the great Litre8.

Somehow for the last 3 years, I've had friends get married the day before Toranafest...

TORANAFEST 2007
16th September 2007
Celebrating 40 years of Torana!!
In association with Rares Spares, Shannons, Manual Transmission Factory and Pitcrew, once again, Toranafest is on and The Hunter Valley Torana Club is inviting all owners of Toranas to attend the annual gathering of Torana's to Newcastle. As this years show is a celebration of 40 years of Torana, and we urge all of you to come along. We are hoping to have everything from the Humble HB through to the UC there!!
This year will see Toranafest incorporate some new changes with regard to trophies and voting. We are currently in talks with other Holden clubs within the region, to devise a plan for the judging of some 40 Trophies. This, in itself is a major change to what we have done in the past and it will mean a fairer result than ever before. A line up of what trophies will be up for grabs are;
TORANAFEST TROPHIES

Thats over 40 Trophies!!!
This year, the Hunter Valley Torana Club, will again be donating the proceeds of Toranafest to Ronald McDonald House in the Hunter. This is a continuation of a two year deal that the club has and the club is very excited to be continuing it's association with RMH and look forward to raising funds for this whorthwile charity.
At this stage I can tell you the following;
Entry fee is $30.00 for Pre entry, and $35.00 for "on the day" entries. (same as last year)
The venue for this year is the same as last year. It is still along Wharf Rd, and entry is through the top carpark. This carpark will be utilised as a registration area as well as an area for ppl to unload their trailers, etc. The main show area is on the grass which means that ALL Entrants will be on the grass!! As many found last year, make sure you bring a good hat and some sunscreen. It could get warm..
As the club and I get more info, I will pass it on to all.. and with a little bit of luck, the ol' SS might be finished by then...
cheers

PS.. can one of the mods make this a sticky, please!! and if possible move the posts from the other thread to this one??

With the spots at the event, you fill in your entry form before hand (and send in with fee) or on the day and if we all rock up in one group like last year we should be next to each other.

the difference between pre paid and entry on the day is this;
Pre paid $30 and guarantee of Toranafest T shirt etc, and
On the Day $35 and no guarntee of T shirt, etc
Pre paid is always a whole lot fast er in regards to getting the cars in, etc.
also, if a club is looking at coming, please let us know by the day before as to how many cars will be entering. It would be a good I dea to pre enter and mark on the enrty form, which club.
cheers
Mick
