Glad I wasn't a judge, seemed to be just about every variety of Torry there, from factory to modded.

Is there a list of winners?? maybe then they can be cross referenced to LX5008s photo collection so you can see who won what.

SStorana has compiled a list of winners but they relate to entrant numbers and owners names.
I cannot relate the forum names to the cars etc, I was a little busy and didnt really get a chance to talk to many people on the day.
I expect SStorana will do something about making the trophy winners available.
Pardon my ignorance but what car was NUTBOYS can you describe it?
But I think everyone who attended deserves a trophy as the effort to get there and the quality of the cars was awesome.

Glad it was National Street Machine Assn. Judges and not me!!

thats the car i was on about, recently had a feature in one of the all holden magazines.
I know how hard it can be to judge winners from all the cars that where there, but with some things, it would have been good to know what they were looking for, as some of the decisions seemed a bit off (just in the opinion of the group we went with)
Im by no means being a sour loser or anything like that, i was quite happy with my runner up (to WILDLC nonetheless)
So im not bringing it up on the basis of i thought i should win something, neither were the other blokes who mentioned it to me, and asked me to ask about the judging (one won first place historic or original XU-1 LJ)
It just seemed that there were some more deserving cars then some that got the first places, and BEST...(insert category here) trophies. (i dont want to name categories to piss anyone who actually won it off)
Cheers

I do remember seeing that car at the show and it was very very good but without an entrants name or entrant number I cannot relate it to the list of winners I have, sorry.
The use of the indepenedent judges this year was to avoid any suggestion of bias and as you say we all have our own opinions as to who should have won.
Be assured the HVTC will have a post mortem of this years event to look at ways of running next years event and will look at the judging.
The thing I note with great joy, as it reflects on the Club, is that the overwhelming response to the show was positive which means we are really going to be pressed to pull something extra out of the hat next year to make it as good or better than this year, no easy task.
mmmm might resign from Committee, he thinks, it would be easier to make it someone elses problem. LOL

I was just curious as to the way they judged and was spurred on by the handful of people whom i am close friends with, that attended the show with cars. was not going to ask as it would seem like whinging, but thought, what the hell.
In the end i suppose it all comes down to personal choice by the judges. they all sure seemed to like the blue LX hatch (which by the way was a nice car)
CHEERS Chris
