LC/LJ Legal side dump pipe

Hi guys was just wondering whats legal in W.A regarding side dump pipes,i was goin to run a straight piece of 2 .3/4 "pipe of the extractors straight under the gearbox crossmember with a hot dog,, just behind the door but will be inline with the quarter window infront of the rear wheel??Is it legal or do thety have to go over the diff>??

Page 6.

The outlet of an exhaust system must be rearwards of any passenger side entry door or opening window.

Exhaust systems must provide a minimum of 100 mm ground clearance.

The maximum exhaust noise for a 6 cylinder measured at 3200 rpm is 81 decibels.

So you can have it exiting kerbside pre 1988, but needs to be aft of opening rear window. Is that doable on a torrrie?

the only cars that a legal in wa with pipe on curb side is a hot rod pre 48 

and no side exit with any opening windows

did a dodge at4 pickup with full ve commy running gear 

did side exit on both sides , had to remove curb side pipe for licensing

This is legal in SA due to vehicle age, but the cops assume it isn’t.

He's pretty picky Clay,

Pre-1988, 400mm away from an opening, 100mm off the ground, and with-in the outside of tyres.

 

Exhaust tip should be angled down at 15 degrees.

I put a 2.5 inch side pipe on mine for an event at Bathurst a couple of years ago.

 

As much as I love the sound, I took it off again as they aren't legal in NSW because it's not far enough from the door or the side windows that can open.

 

I did get both systems made so i can easily swap them for when I feel like being a hoon  :driving:
