Yep ran power, got 10A GPO's everywhere and a couple of 15A's as well. Also ran TV coax, speaker cabling from the Amp inside and VGA Video from the PC. Had to dig a trench for power and stormwater so might as well run everything else....!

Yeah, good idea, may as well dig the trench once rather than 3 or 4 times.

  • Hanra what you paint the floor with ? The floor is painted with Berger Jet Dry Heavy Duty Paving Paint. It was a cheaper option then a 2 pac epoxy, but still required the floor to be acid etched twice, cleaned thoroughly and then 3 coats laid down.
  • And you still got your mini? Yes.

Hi all, been away quite awhile going through a marriage breakup, retirement from a 30 year career and moving in with a new partner. Have just installed surfmaster ™ shed Mk II in the new digs.

Hi All

After moving in to our new home 8 months ago and having waited months for some decent weather, my new shed is finally taking shape. It is an 8m by 10m barn style with the centre bay 4m and the outer ones 3m. This should be more than enough for the XU-1, ride on mower and a workshop equipped with a 2 post hoist to service the family cars. I got by at the old house with a 7m by 5m so this will be luxury for me.

Due to poor access from the front and the local council not allowing me to access through the reserve at the rear - the concrete had to be pumped 70 metres from the road at an additional cost of $950 (ouch).

Here are the progress pics:

Cheers

Bazza

Hi Dane

Thanks.

Here is a pic of the XU when I first bought it. It is away at the moment being painted in the original Lime Green Met from this not altogether too bad Brooklands Blue.

Whats up with all the garden sheds?? ;)

This is about 1/5 of the downstairs...is another 2 areas the same size, one set up as a machine shop (mill, lathe, tooling gear), another section with my timber gear in it, and another long tall section full of pallet racking and a hoist in the middle :) Mezzanine up top too...

Hi Bazza,

Very nice shed mate, and having the hoist will be a bonus for you ,no more chassis stands or car ramps and soar backs lol, will be up in the air and easier to work on,and especially plenty of room for your xu-1,and other machines.

Regards John.
