Well, after waiting 5 years for my dream shed.... On the weekend I signed the plans and paid my deposit for my 9.1m wide, 7.6m deep, 3m wall Colourbond shed. Have customized it to allow me 2x 3.5m wide bays with a workshop area on the right.

Slab will be poored to allow for 2x Hoists. Plan is to put a 2 poster in the middle with a second one later on when the funds allow it.

I just got engaged so need to get this LC up and running again for the wedding! :)

Looked at a few Neil but the Highline was by far the best. Cost me just under $15k erected with 2 Rolla doors, PA door and anticon on the roof. Ill then get the slab laid in it myself.

I also looked into the company's profiles because there is some horror stories on the net.

Part of the shed at least, sooooo....

Did a little organizing of my hardware today.. I have a bunch of roll-away tool boxes, and just got another one (as the others were full) and I had sort of had nuts, bolts, terminals, etc organized before, but were in different little bins, etc.  So finally ordered up a heap of proper plastic bins (really nice quality, USA made) and started out sorting and putting stuff away. :D

Still have a bunch more to do, but made a little bit of a dent today..

(First pic is the box of bins when they arrived today, then as I was going along this afternoon)

I have a drawer for electrical stuff (I have a seperate divided case for all my weatherpac stuff), one for stainless steel (and ARP), one for grade 8 nuts and washers, and one for grade 8 bolts...so far.. still have to finish off the ones in the pics not done, and 2 more drawers to go as well.

Hi guys, how much $$$ should I allow for slab. I'm
Building a 7m x 14m shed and got a quote for around 10 grand for the slab which I thought was a bit high. Cheers

A bit high? Wow. You must have a fair bit of earth work to do. Get some more quotes before you go ahead with anything. Good luck.

I payed $12000 for a 10 x 24 metre slab which I thought was high, but it was only 65mm thick. Dave I

p.s. I got all the earth works done separately ( $1000 ) and leveled myself, deeper edges and also the column pits

frOck Dave im moving in with you.

But then I would have too share half with you DJ,

I said to myself one day crawling around the ground welding while raining with Tarp over-head,

I am going to get a big shed as the single garage was full of hoarding.

Now the big shed is full and I need a bigger one gees. Dave I

So the thought I had when the shed needed to be bigger, was to build a bigger shed over the top of the smaller shed,

put all shelving around the new shed walls and then remove the old shed and pick and place the junk into an organized state. Dave I

BOOM! Now time for the slab!

ShedInstalled.JPG

Decided to go for 9.2m x 7.6m with 3m wall. Pitch height is about 4.2m. Full Colourbond (Dune) including the roof. PA Door, 2x B&D Rolladoors. Anticon insulation on the roof.

Highline also allowed me to modify the bays to 3.5m wide which allows some more room around the cars. I also have the Workshop on the side with a area in the back right hand corner dedicated to my future race/track bike.

It went up on Thursday and Friday. Now I need to organize the following:
Slab
Power and lighting
Network Cable
CCTV
Alarm
Aircon (Planned on Evap but told it might not be a good idea.)
Car 2 post Hoist
Possably insulate walls and plasterboard
Storage
Large TV

BTW, internally its great, externally it looks huge compared to the house.

I'll take 2... when can you deliver ?

I've paid half of my 7.5 x 13 today so in theory it should be ready to start assembling by Xmas... but I'm thinking mid Jan for truth

Pics will come of the old one coming down and new one going up once something happens in the yard
