Do they charge you an extra $1,000,000 down there for cyclone rated sheds?
I think that was included in the $2,000,000 council fees. Well i hope so.
So, whens the working bee for the slab.
All sorted mate.

I don't recall if I actually put my pics up in this thread
But.... mine went up in Dec just in time for Xmas
Not at all happy with the old floor but didn't have cash to pull it up and redo it so it is what it is
Many may have seen all this in the other thread... but here it is again
Original shed with tree sitting on top (12m x 6m)

The tree was heavy and started breaking thru the roof beams

So the old shed had to go ... with the help of some great Torana friends

Its for storage... so I won't be going under there much...the 3 cars that will be underneath won't move far fast
I still might drop it down alittle to make more room above
Mez is approx 7m x 4.8m

What height is the mez Neil?
#484
Posted 06 April 2014 - 07:20 PM
I haven't actually measured it
But to the bottom of that blue beam is 1700mm approx
The beams 150mm ... then there will be a wooden beam above that of 90-100mm plus the thickness of the board
So approx 2m high I guess

Update!
Once the floor was hard, I would put my daily (not so daily) in there. Fit well
Went to bunnings to look at floor paint..... got annoyed just like every time I go to Bunnings, and left again.
So I left Bunnings and gave my mate Evan a call. He had coated his floor in a 2 part 2pac Epoxy. After looking at his after 3 years of use I was very happy to go that way.
$500 later, I came home with this.
Acid washed the floor and get ready for paint.
Laid down 2 coats over 5 days resulting in this. (Its still wet)
So, I had my Shed ready to go, time to buy one of these. 4.5Tonne TuffLift Hoist. Ordered from Melbourne.
Then, time to get rid of the 2 temp sheds and make some room. This meant everything now had to be shoved into the new one. Mess!
Then it was time for the first big job in the shed. Replace Gearbox in the Mrs new temp VT Acclaim. I wanted to have the Hoist up to do this job but ran out of mates to help lift the posts up into place. Plus we sold her car on Saturday so time was not on my side.
This is the mess I have outside the shed at the moment. The plan is this area will all be Green grass. As it shouldn't get much traffic.
I am going to organize a busy bee in the next few weeks and hopefully get some sand moved around, retic in and the hoist up.

3.0m. I was going to go 3.3m but glad I didn't. I can see the shed from the front of the house, from the street that is in front of the house behind me too.

That does look like a good setup Neil.
Should be able to walk on that no worries at all.
I worked out I can see your shed from my place if I jump on the kids trampoline.
Its a shame no one has stolen that trailer full of concrete yet.

500kg per sq m rated
Should be fine for what I'm putting up there
Yeah seems no-one steals box trailers anymore... especially when they have 2t of concrete in them..lol

I built this for the Torana 3 years ago.
It's about 8 x 5 and has 23 power points, plus 3 phase.
