im getting three phase done shortly as a main power run to my house, 200meters of 50mm2 is about $7500 and around $1000 in labour and power pole and temp pole. Its about $30 a meter for the cable in the size I need for the length run im doing, the shorter the distance the smaller the cable can be.

For the guys that have three phase power, whats involved and cost associated to get it hooked up?

For comparison to the above, I had a 55 meter run to my shed, for 3 phase I had to use 10mm2 4 core and earth. Total bill for my electricity including all electrical hardware, sparky and the dry hire of an excavator and rock breaker so I could dig the trench on our rocky block was about $3500. The sparky allowed me to run all the cable in the ground myself, and run the wiring within the shed. He came in and did the fuse boxes and tie-ins.

Bit more of a update.

Hoist is up. Bolted together and leveled. Just need to run cables and hoses. Oil has been ordered (ISO 32) and sparkie should be wiring it in shortly. I ended up putting it on the very left hand side after a mate who works under them all day said I was crazy to put it in the middle of the shed. Glad I did that now.

Worst part, the car trailer wheel base is 20mm wider then the arms.... anyway.

3 more CCTV IP Cams have arrived and new NVR to record. Looking at upgrading the house alarm to include the new shed and our current garage with remote trigger. New alarm will also talk to CCTV system to record all cams when the alarm goes off. It then calls me and I can also see all Cams on my Phone or iPad. ;) Fancy that hey.

Picked up 2 Freedom Leather Lounges cheap as too for the corner of the shed.

Good Job Phil,
You have set the bench mark for Leather Shed lounge, and the lift is out of the way now. Dave I

So jealous, I could really use a hoist.

I think it will be a necessity for my next shed.

A bit more work done over the weekend. Getting it all sorted out now.

Cabinet work went in. Bought these from a building strip and reno. Paid $300 for the lot of it. Stupidly, I accidentally chucked out the big cabinet doors I am pretty sure. :(

Cabinetsup.JPG

I also had to cut up one to get it to fit. :P The shed post was in the way.

cabinetspost.JPG

You might have also spotted the PVC Pipe. Thats for the Sink. ;) Building a new work bench to also match the cabinets, have 2 more sets of doors plus the fridge so it should look good.

Oh and after 8 years, I now have a nice warm home for this one. She needs a wash as the dust has got to her, but it was late. :) Forget about the mess, thats whats the new cabinets are for. :)

Yeah its the VE Green with a little bit more Gold Pearl added into it. Looks great in the sun.

Plan to get the place cleaned up this weekend.

For those who buy those crappy plastic tubs from bunnings for $4000000000 each (Really $20), these are a great alternative at only $8 and $6 each, and metal.

You can find them in the Wardrobe Storage section.

Well done Phil, those cabinets look great. I need to put more storage solutions in place in my shed.

Did you paint her again this time around with the green, looks nice!

Yeah she's a biggun Neil.

I was in my backyard in the back of the Hilux today and glanced in your direction and there she was!

I dunno if someone has cleared something in between or if it was just the extra height but I reckon I could almost egg your shed from here.

Not that I would ever do that, just sayin.....
