Thanks for the kind words.
I wanted a nice & ordered environment to work on my projects.
As with a lot of things I do..It morphed into an evolving project starting from a basic plan.
Soaked up a lot of my time & energy last year but very glad it's done.
Here's a few more details for those taking an interest;
The original shed is now the dedicated work shop & can be isolated from the car bays.
Houses welder, oxy/acl, compressed air lines, sand blast cabinet, bench, 20T press, engine crane, stands, grinders, drills etc. etc.
3 car bays with roller tool bench trolleys. Can comfortably work on 2 cars with the hoist & 2 bays for disassembly & assembly.
Mezzanine floor with racks for parts storage & a 1 ton ridge beam winch to lift up & down motors, diffs, gearboxes etc.
Bar/Kitchenette with Fridge, sink, gas hot water, Smart TV, internet, intercom, security panel, with shower & WC off to the side.
Outside paved parking/wash/work area for those dirty jobs or larger hot works. Shade house tent for spray paint jobs.
2x 3000L slimline water tanks, double & single auto sliding gates & auto roller doors from the back Lane for access.
Can easily be converted to a Granny Flat when I'm 6 feet under lol
Now it's time to get stuck into the gold hatch!!

haha
I notice no one is game to add any picks of their sheds after Ando set the bar so high.
I'll add some of my little extension I did at the end of last year.

Just a little bit more room.
The entertainment area out the back is 18x7.2 so heaps of room there too.
The new front carport was also done 13.5x3.8 and added a boat shed at the other end of the house just for it.
The caravan lives in the front carport with the ute.

Had a few simple rules for everything that was used in the rebuild.
As we have 9 grand kids and 1 great grandkids.
100% water proof.
Extremely hard wearing.
Stainless steel
Stone bench tops.
Ended up spending a small fortune on everything but it will last.

Hi Everyone,
Although no longer owning a Torana I still find myself constantly keeping an eye on this forum.
I was wondering if any one has "hoisted, or winched" a bare shell to a frame or to the beams of their shed for storage(internal of the shed roof)?
Just to allow for more floor space. I have 5m of height so ample room upwards but lack the width to store a car and a shell due to the hoist posts.

Might want to check with an engineer on that one as it would depend on your structure.

The strength is there.
Full Besser block and core filled with reinforcement going through the slab into the block work prior to core filling.
Just trying to gain ideas on the most practical way of doing so. Got a great few photos messaged through which I think will work brilliantly.

I was looking at the idea of installing an overhead travelling crane when I finally get a shed.
Perhaps the same sort of strength parameters would be needed.
I found a site that gave the dimensions of the steel required to support loads over a given span.
Think it might have been an american steel or crane company.
And it also had the metric stock sizes along with the imperial
Cheers
Rob
