To many doors to break into for my liking, but hell yes would kill for a shed that big instead of my pissy 60 sqm

For a permit, more than one personal access door will probably be required. I would prefer less, but I'll include what is legally required.

After a whole year since I moved here, I'm finally starting to get my shed the way I want it. The enclosed stairs alongside the bikes has now been relocated to make this room a dustproof and mouseproof haven for my cars. Today I am welding in an RHS to support the mezzanine above which will leave me with only one pole in the middle of this room. I am building an office and living area above this.

Once I get that finished I can move cars out of the workshop area and set it up with a hoist and all of my gear from the farm. I will build swinging gantries for power, air and gas that will reach all areas of the floor.
Eyepeeler is in the process of getting me some cheap coolroom paneling to keep the heat off the western wall.

Four shipping containers rocked up last Thursday, so I can move all of my parts and make some more room to get what is still outside undercover.

Once I've bought the land, the shed goes up first. Then I'll see how much is leftover for the grandpa flat.

It is a dream of mine that has been a long time coming. Especially having a hoist. My back complains when I spend an hour on a garage creeper. These last 12 months since we moved have been frustrating because we had a house to renovate first, and now my shed. I haven't had time to even look at my cars yet.

Hey Laurie,
I'm loving your shed too... fantastic! I'm intrigued to know a bit more about the white VR? VS? pictured here; what's the story with this beast? Any more photos you can share? I have a 304 VR Calais project car, not sure which way to go with it yet... but this one of yours is giving me a lot of inspiration to go race car style....

It is an Improved Production car that was built 12 years ago and never raced. I bought it for less than half the cost of the 518 HP five litre. It has a dry sump, Tremec TKO, Harrop brakes, full supercar kit etc etc. The plan is to have some fun in it at Wanneroo when I get some time.

I am nearly up to the Gyprock stage of the office and store rooms up on the mezzanine. I hadn't worked with stud and track before, but it is super easy. Even easier is installing the coolromm paneling for the ceiling, as we are just sitting it on the C section roof trusses. This stuff is much heavier than I thought it would be. Each sheet would be over 50 kilos, however it is also much stronger than I anticipated. I can support each end of a 4 meter length and walk over the middle of it without it even moving.
I am waiting for the air con guy to get here now. This is one problem with living in a small fishing town with a good boat ramp. If the weather is any good...............the tradies aren't.

The other advantage to using stud and track is you can use the offcuts for shelving.

Hi all, haven't been on here for a very long time but finished up my shed about a year ago. Its 12x8m. As big as I could go. Fully lined and insulated and a epoxy floor. Fit up with some racking and built a custom work bench to fit nicely between the first bay posts. Was pretty fortunate my friends all chipped in for my 40th Bday and got me a hoist! Pretty stoked with the setup. I'll also be starting a new thread with my LJ S Torana build. Had the car sitting in storage for about 5 years and now finally starting to do some work on it.

Haha don’t worry it definitely doesn’t look like that at this point in time. First bay is always a mess as that’s the work area but do try to keep the others clean and tidy. The misso loves to slowly put things out there though. Gotta watch her haha
