I am ashamed of my shed but here it is lol

I am getting closer to being able to put the Torry in it!

Herne

Theres no need to be ashamed, its twice the shed i have. Im stuck borrowing a mates shed which is only just big enough to hold the car. i dont even have the room to work on it.

Myabe somone has a shed or room that they would be willing to rent? i need somewhere to work. i had somewhere to start with but everything went pear shaped......

Yeah mate
youv got all the essentals compressor, bench, shelves,
and your not rebuilding your Torana so i recon its all you need.
cheers Baz

:spoton: :)

The car actually lives under a very long semi enclosed carport I built, cant remember the length but suffice to say it as long as 14 roofing sheets. have 4 x 4ft lights, plus party lights and plenty of power points under it :)
Dust is my biggest problem...

Cheers.

Well, I finally got some time in the shed on the weekend to tidy it up and get everything sorted out, now have a telly (have a bigger one to go in there next weekend, just didnt have anywhere to put it up at the moment!) and a radio, just waiting on my uncle to come help out in putting in some more power points and lights (fluro working lights, etc) as he is a sparky.

without further adue, here is my shed at the new house-

Supplies? haha.

This was some of my handy work for the weekend-

Take one brand new fisher and Paykel stainless steel fridge door (removed from a brand new fridge at a customers house due to a tiny scratch on the TOP ie. the bit you dont see!)
and add one old woodworking (but very sturdy) bench, some coach bolts a drill and some nuts and washers-

Posted Image
Posted Image

and you have a fisher and Paykel stainless steel workbench, complete with area for keeping nuts/bolts/tools when working (Ice maker recess)
Took a while to get the inner plastic off and then with the orbital sander and a mask, sanded the inner foam filling flat and then bolted it on, was a near perfect fit!

one of the most important things in the shed-
Posted Image

and one of the more random things-
Posted Image

His name is eric, was the muffler shop mascot for about 10 years before being retired! now he lives in my shed, watching over the torana!

Just need to fix the beer fridge so it stops electrocuting me all the bloody time!

This was the shed at our house we sold about 6 months ago. Hubby did it himself with the help of a few mates was 13m x 12m and I think 4.2 H. He wasn't real keen on moving purely as he didn't want to leave it behind (not a great pic was more taken to show the big billow of smoke from a bush fire over the back but strangely about the best pic I have of it)

This was the bargaining chip on getting him to move put up a 16 x 7.5 as soon as we got here.

Didn't stay as above for long soon filled up and I'm now hearing mumblings about not enough room anymore need a mezzanine floor

Notice the verandah connected to the shed?
Well tomorrow actually i'll be starting my extension. Yes, I'm enclosing the verandah in colour bond sheets the same colour as the shed to make a 'workshop' It's going to contain all my tools, a nice big bench, my shed internet ready laptop and speaker system :).... So this will leave me with more room to work on the car without having to share the space for other shit.
So basically walk through the big opening doors, go to the back of the shed, walk through the sliding door on the right into the workshop :).. Can't wait

And thats my shed

Has it got power to it?

I have some pallet racking that would be perfect for your shed (to replace the wooden shelves)

pity you chose to buy so bloody far away! hahaha.

Yeah, its got no power at all! I need to invest in a couple of good extension leads for the time being! I got an electrician mate who said he'll come connect power to it when he gets a chance.

I'm need to do some rearranging in there, that shelving on the side is dodgy and takes up too much space! Its a tight squeeze to open hatch doors in that small space!

My pride and joy. 6x6 garage in front for the family car (VXII 5.7l Calais) and work hack (Mazda Bravo dual cab 4x4) with two wings on the left 2 x 6m with freezers, and all sorts of the Missus's plant pots and paint (what is it with women and paint??) on the right is 3 x 6 m which houses the ride on mower and all attachments.

Attached File  P6140148.JPG   85.04K   55 downloads

At the rear is a 6 x 9m workshop which currently houses "the project" and is just my sanctuary from everything I do not want to deal with at that time. I didn't build this it was on the property when we bought it but the bloke who built it was a retired builder/cabinet maker. So it has this magnificent workbench 4m x 1m with a 2inch thick timber top more powerpoints than I will ever need. and an in floor dust extraction system which I have not found a use for yet.

Love it to death!!!

Best workbench in the world! Yesterday I started piecing together the UC torana front end with HQ disks I am building on top of it.

After getting divorced and selling my previous shed, er I mean house, about 18 months ago, I rented a unit for all last year before finally buying a house and moving in a few days before christmas. I've been a bit slack about getting the shed built, but finally here it is, the slab is done, just need to seal it this weekend.
Its 10.8 x 7.5 metres, one bay for the racecar, one for the Torana project and one for working on cars.
The walls are 3.0 high with a bit extra under the gable so hopefully I can put a hoist in there and have room to walk under the car.

Heres some progress on my Workshop Extension. (I'm turning the skillion Awning connected to the side of my shed into a workshop, which I keep all my tools and benchs and shelves in, which is seperated from the Torana, so no unwanted sparks, knocks, scratches etc hits her).. It's seperated yet accessible by the sliding door :)

By the way, everything was recycled. I used sheeting my folks had laying around from when they re done the back perimeter fence. I used C Section my dad had also lying around. Unfortunately the sheets are a little bit too short, but thats ok, I rivet on the extra bits, once the sheets are all cleaned and painted, would hardly be noticed.
Only thing I payed for was the second packet of screws and rivets so far hahaha

Things left to do is the paving around the shed, which i'm in the process to doing. Cutting off the excess of the roof and installing a gutter, capping for the tops, making the door, putty/ silicone any holes, and a coat of matching paint.

Then get into the security system, work benchs, shelves etc. Damn work! only can work on it 2 times a day!

Nice sheds :) For now our "shed" is the garage under the house. If we didnt have so much stuff it would fit 4 cars, but currently only the GTR, the pool table and my daily driver are in there. Need to build a shed to fit in Grants cars ROFL ROFL.

Nice sheds there ppl!

I didn't get around to finsihing my garden car parts shed as planned, it's half built, but i have gotten around to getting the new roof, gutter & flashing on my shed, so now it's water tight & almost dust tight again (swing front door, hard to seal up). I've gone about welding up a steel framed work bench with a 1/2" thick steel top, and built a small wooden bench as well. From there i've had a good cleanup, and rid myself of commodore parts that i won't be able to use in any of my projects, and thrown out some old parts that are broken, and i won't have time to repair.

My shed is looking much neater now, and i can get some work done in it. I'll see if i can find a pic of the new roof. Took a whole day for 3 of us to rip the old roof, gutter & flashing down & replace it. All Wood beams replaced in steel.

Now i've had a shed, i couldn't go back to not having one.....

Cheers

Nice bench Jabba!

I've also got a little wood workbench near the back door of my shed, which has a small vice mounted to it. It wobbles a bit, but i'll fix that soon, i've designed up some steel brackets to attach it to the brick wall - which will stop the wobble. Even tho it wobbles, it's still rather handy, plenty can be done on it.

Not this w/e that is just over, but the one before, i had a mate come over & help attach my fluro lights onto the new roof. It's nice to have some light in the shed again - 6 double tube 36w fluro's, which is almost enough light, i just need a single 36w up near the swing door, and maybe a single 36w above my wood workbench. I've also gotta get another 2 or 3 power points installed in the shed, the 2 i have atm are just not enough! I've also relocated my little 55lt bar fridge to the shed & have filled it with beer & burbon - a must when your spending a long day in the shed. :spoton:

Cheers

Ditto. It's like a shrine to Torana's, which has a torana as the center piece.
