There back on soon after I clear the defects, I ll just rotate with different rims and tyres , all they can do is the same again up here in Queensland ,I d be on the black list if I was constatly making trouble but I m not into that. There not dangerous and the car handles better , for example at 230 its sweet in a line or on a corner even if I ve still got another gear to shift into 5th, I have to look into the laws I think there might be a way around it on a very rare type of rego up here in Queensland ( not club rego)... B)

It was said in this thread that someone on the Gold Coast can billet them rims , who can do it? I ll get some more 17s made up...Cheers

im fairly sure he paid about 600 dolars a corner without rubber. so they arent cheap. Those are custom made, and custom drilled in HQ pattern, and an aquaintance just bought them off the kid that owned that car (which this bloke now owns) for $1000 bucks. not bad ay. :tease:

Man that thing really needs a Commodore length diff or something...

The Pontiac Rallye GTS style rallye wheels are availible in heaps of sizes over in the States. As with most wheels and other parts.

Easy when you've got the profile; not there when you're working with 16"s and 17"s though. Ever taken notice of the wheel/tyre setup on a proper lowrider?
Most of them run 13x7s or 13x8s with tyres as skinny as 165s...

Didn't mean it wasn't possible, just looks... wrong!

I was thinkin of spending:
a9x steering arms $300
new axles (hq pattern) $500
15in gts rims $600-1000
tyres $500+

Maybe I should get these $2100 for rims + $? for tyres
but wont have to change the stud pattern :D

that lj doesnt do the rims justice. the whole cars a bit wrong, gtr boot badge and xu1 front badges? wtf.

these rims would look tough as on lc/lj. would need 8" on the back though, and holden centre caps.

LH333 they look great on your car! Now u just have to lower it more so it tucks some rim! hahaha who cares if you are on the bumpstops!

hahaha as fun as under the guards are they dont allow the quickest cornering and was after a bit of practicality. although i hear the quickest distance between two points is a bumpsteer.

Actually i would really like to see that dumped on bags :D

You could still drop your LH a little without being on the bump stops couldn't you? Maybe the total diameter of these things is more than I'm compensating for...

That looks awesome though, even how it sits now.

But there are other options on similar looking wheels

What make/models are similar? I am in the states and looking for a nice set of wheels and can organise purchase/transport to Melbourne if anyone is interested.
