Just purchased an Lc GTR shell.

I am very luck to have found and purchase this shell as you do no find them in this condition. Upon scanning the car, I could not find any rust what so ever. There are a couple spots where attempts to repair dents have been made but these can easily be fixed. The body is extremely straight.

Original colour is silvermist and interior colour is antique gold. All of this waiting time has paid off! Its an Adeliade built car and all tags match!

Now its time to begin the process of collecting parts and restoring. Cant wait for the finished product! ENJOY!

Hope you didnt ripple those straight guards with that tie down strap?

Tip next time use some rubber or a thick blanket between the strap and the panel, you wont see it til paint is applied if its got slight ripple now.

Apart from that looks like a good score, well done

very nice. that sounds like a pretty cool paint and trim combo, look forward to seeing the finished product. Are you going to restore it back to original? And does it have the original engine?

Yeh sold my LC Sedan about one month ago.

Original motor was not provided but replacement 161 (non s) motor was supplied.

This project will be restored to original condition. The only alteration I will make is to install a hot 179, 186 or 202 motor in!

looks like a good starting point.
just think next time you pick up a car, turn it the other way round, push front wheels up to front bar on trailor, and dont tie down with sash type cord. use something that wont break easily.

yes there will be more weight on the draw bar, but the car will not be trying to mount the ford the first time you have to stop in a hurry

volvo wheels on the back?

imho

That was the best shell I have seen in years mate, well done on the purchaser and commiserations to you my friend as it would have been a hard one to part with especially that great color and trim combo.

Can't wait to go cruising with it when finally done :spoton:

"Cheers"

Alf
