I don't want to buy into the whole argument, but here is a photo at Birdwood in 2014. (I assume this is the car you are referring to)?
The only thing I really paid attention to at the time is that it wasn't a 3100X motor. But that is no big deal.

Hi Anthony
That must have been a while ago. When I asked about mine 10 years ago, they only gave info to the registered owner. You must "know somebody"? Have you got the engine number?
Cheers

I am just saying that it is strange that VicRoads (when they held the records) would give out any info to anybody other than the registered owner. I thought that they may have given Anthony the engine number too.

I saw this car at a car show,I noticed it was a 1969 body and front end too, with its bump stops, right up the top on the inner guards in place,so did 8/70's have those bump stops too?

No John, the compression bump stops changed to the lower control arms during May 1970.

the sandwich board is contradicting itself, on one side it says the yellow ksa302 car was sourced from the shilton country dealer , and on the other board it says the melbourne dealer reg hunt rhodes confirmed its authenticity as the selling dealer!
so basically the board is saying this ksa302 in this thread is the linamint xu1 sold by reg hunt rhodes driven by sandra cole and gibson.
am i right mean machine??
