I remember it very well from the Torana mags I used to buy as a real young bloke! It was certainly a bad influence on me, and another reason I got into Torana's!

Would love to hear what has happened to it since then, and see some more pics too!

I remember the car. It was a regular at the AHD. I remember a bit of an incident involving some of the owners mates at the time and another person who had their car on display.

Yes Porsche Ascot green.
Car was already a well known show car when Steven bought it.
He added a Tunnel ram and some detail.. AFAIK he sold it around 2000.
He runs the Ultra Tune franchise at Baulkam Hills in Sydney If you want to find him.

Cheers Greg..

Wasnt it in Home & Away or Neighburs?

From memory it also had a factory type electric sunroof.

Why wasn't I around when good cars were on TV?

There are barely ever Torries in shows. I've seen one in McLeod's daughters or one of those shows that I've had a glimpse of while channel surfing, I think it was a blue LX hatch that I gather was one of the character's vehicles. A Manderin Red LH with the SL/R guard stripes in Australian Rules the other week. Can't even think of any others...

I recall Thunder had a website years ago. Back in 95 or there abouts when an Alta Vista search on Torana bought up only a handfull of sites his was top of the list from memory.

Nice car too !!

Edit - just did a quick search. The site is still coming up on other peoples links but its dead.......

i loved the colour coded mags,

Tell me about it. I'm airbrushing a pic of a flared Barbados LH atm and the colour coded wheels absolutely set it off.

In one of my 80's Street Machine mags, there's a Barbados L34 with colour coded Simmons'. Looks awesome.

Is this the same Steve Courtney that owned/drove the 57 in "Running on Empty" ?
