engine in for fitment check (note these rocker covers aren't going on, have a genuine chev brand kit going on it, should pretty it up a little).

Posted Image

Taken engine out, bare metaled, rust proofed, etchprimed, body filled, primed, and has now been painted. (Job isn't of show quality, but it will do, compared to what it looked like before).

More pics soon. :spoton:

Cheers Big_al, appreciate it.

I found that I had to use lc lower control arms as the lowerball joints from the HB were to small. Also I have to hole saw the top of the upper control arm so that the top ball joint fits, but thats all easy stuff.

I have just got my Mickey Thompson street slicks, which are awesome, they are 275 wide, although I measured the width as they looked larger when they were inflated on the wheel and they measured 30.5cm! which is a 305 not a 275. Looks pretty large under the little hb, might even scare the LC a bit.

Will send pics this weekend. Take care guys.

I shortened the steering shaft and am using two LX steering joints. I did this tonight, seems to work really well. I had to lathe down the original stteering shaft to make it the correct size for the steering joint, bit of a pain but it was worth it. Ordering diff this week. Either 4.11 or 5.12 rear gears full spool :spoton:

HAHA, cheers guys! I reckon it will go like stink, but will be an absolute pig to handle!

I had to order M&H front tyres instead of the Moroso DS-2's that are currently on it as the diameter is too big aswell as the 4.5inch width. I have ordered M&H front runners 22inch diameter 3.5 inch wide. Yep absolutley no handling now, meh the gtrcan be for that. I only want that running high 10's. I want the HB eventually running 9's, 10's on the street with the low plain manifold.

Hi Guys! I cut the hole in the bonnet to place over the tunnel ram and it fits, however the nitrous side brackets get in the way. Might see if I can modify the bracket somehow any way here are some pics. It also has street slicks on it which are 275/50/15's but they measure a whole ruler in width (over 30cm). The front runners are getting changed to M&H pizza cutters (22/3.5/15). :spoton:

Cheers guys, just trying to get the fricken axels out of the original diff so I can send it off to have modified into a 9 inch diff, annoying. Might call the diff crowd tomorrow and ask if they can just pick up the whole thing.

I also unbolted the scoop to expose the tunnel ram through the bonnet, doesn't look to bad, and I can see a hell of a lot more! :spoton:

Have to call an auto electrician next week for quotes, as I have no idea how to run the wires to the motor. I bought a new harness kit, but yeah I'm lost. I'll offer any autolec 3 cartons of beer to wire up my car!!!!!

Anyone?

hahahaha! yeah I doubt it.

Haha, well surprisingly its only cost me $6300 with what you can see, but I have new bumpers, retrimmed race seats, and rear seat with new carpet, new 5 point race harnesses, window net which bring it up to $8300, then there is still the 9 inch and the brodix track 1 alloy heads I have yet to order. Which will bring it up to $12300.

Oh well, its only money, safer spending on cars than spending on drugs I reckon!

$12300 is still cheap for that package.
