adamlcgtr383blownchev very nice work mate and the best thing is you have done it yourself. i look in street machine and see a car like yours and most of the time the owner says i would like to thank this person for the motor, this person for the gearbox, this person for the diff, ect, ect,,ect, ect, and i think so what did you do????? so keep up the great work mate cant wait to see it finished :spoton:

Haha, haven't barely had time with other websites mate. Next year I will pretty much be making it to every event with the HB so you will all see it next year from Summernats onwards.

Its very true with your comment bullitljv8. I hate reading through magazines and find that they don't do any of the work themselves because they're too rich and just get other people to do it. To me they aren't true car lovers, they're just sheep that want to fit in with the crowd.

Rorym, The modifications you need to do to put a holden 6 in it, you my aswell put a V8 in, you have to cut all of the same things out of it to fit both. I've been looking for brabham badges to put back on it, as they were stolen. So if you know of any please let me know.

Take care guys, Ads

Hi, thanks for that. I already had it in my watch list. I have just purchased two badges today, expensive, but I will never find them again. Thank God. :spoton:

I've got a series 70 Nasco locking fuel cap. the one with the '70' on a checkered background. It looks to be almost NOS. Its for sale if you are keen but it won't be cheap.

Okay, brabham badges are back on, the block I got back and..... found that even when I clearanced the inner walls of the cylinders for the stroker crank, it wouldn't fit. I found that I had to take far too much off of one side. This I assume is due to too much core shift in the block.

SO.....

I purchased a new GM crate block, sent it to get bored yesterday and will get it back tomorrow for bottom end assembly. The block will then go back along with the internalls to be balanced and blue printed, and I will then file fit the rings and start final assembly.

Oh, also I received my Aussie Desert cooler today, fits perfectly between the chassis rails. I used a HQ size radiator, but in Aluminium pro race series, its over 3 inches thick and has the chev logo embossed in the top, should look sweet, well, for a 'burnout car', haha.

Catcha guys! :spoton:

Hi guys, welast month I have been really busy. I have built the motor, had the trans built, modified the location of the diff, got bits and pieces and yes, as usual, have no money at the moment. I am having my tailshaft made this week. I still need fuel lines, my wiring done and brake lines, then I will be laughing. Hope you guys like the pics;

Bottom end built, all forged 10.5 compression

All done, now for the trans

Haha, thanks guys. Just realised that I have to cut the bonnet more towards the back as I spaced the motor back 1cm to give me more clearance with the radiator, dang nammit! Hehe :spoton:

Thanks for the kind words guys! And yes it will be hitting the streets, but without the parachute and wheelie bars, and of course the mountain of metal. Whats the point if I can't drive it?!

Car will be fired up mid next week. I am currently in the process of wiring it up and making the fuel lines.

Cheers again guys! :spoton:

Hi Guys. I am doing the little fiddly crud now and man it really is time consuming! I have just ordered a bug catcher type scoop to change the look from: velocity stacks / hornet scoop / Bug catcher.

May get a hilborn after also, but not shot gun as they are $700.00 for the polished one that I specifically want. Question! Is it illegal to use braided line throughout my whole car? or do I have to use hard line underneath the car at least?

Any herlp guys would be great! :spoton:
