Oh, I forgot! I rev'd it on all four tyres today and it shook the car from side to side about 4-5 inches, fricken huge! Bit of a surprise! I tried to get it on video for you all, but my mate couldn't work his camera phone :furious:

Okay...I took it for a little drive around the block and my GOD! It is very quick. I only opened it up 3/4 throttle aswell! Makes my modded LS1 feel like a Magna! Haha. Gotta love V8's. I am tuning it on Monday week. My main concern is making sure it never runs lean. Have a great Christmas guys! :spoton:

I came across your start up video the other day on youtube and today I came across your build thread, all I can say is awesome mate, just awesome!!!! I almost shed a tear when I got to the fire post, such bad luck. Good to see you jumped back on the horse strait away and kept on going with her. By any chance will you be taking her to the Summernats? I'd love to see it in the flesh.

Cheers guys. finished putting the interior in today and had a mate cut and polish the crappy paint job on it, but it came out a hell of a lot better. Also cut and edged the bonnet hole and put the harnesses back in. Merry Christmas! Will keep you posted in the next couple of days. Until then, this is what it looks like now...

Well, hope you all had a great Christmas. I only have to; link up the rear handbrake, put bigger springs in the front, and tighten a few things. I am putting it on the dyno for a couple of hours on Monday ready for summernats. I have since had bolt-on spacers made for the peelin wheels as factory HQ rims foul on the inner chassis as the diff is really short. So after that I had bob jane at Marion fit some yoko tyres for $20.00 to it. This is what it looks like now...

Well guys, Apart from a full polish and a dyno tune it is all done, well for nats that is. Dyno tomorrow, then picking up trailer. Will send some pics of it all done shortly. I also fitted ba rear springs to the front today as I needed to get the mufflers off of the floor. It sits a bit high, but now I can throw it into corners hard!

Good effort.
A few front end questions, what brakes, stub axles, column, rack, shocks and springs?
Any other curly problems?
Thanks, Bones

Okay, well; I customised my control arms to fit HQ ball joints, then fitted HQ brakes all round (stub axels, etc), Colum is the original HB, but moved it over 3 inches to clear the motor, then used 2 LX steering joints, The shocks are pedders 90/10's at the front with rear BA springs in the front, while I have installed spax coilovers in the rear. Hope that helps mate. For all you other guys, I'll see you at the NATS! I'm up for a long drive... :spoton:

Had a great time at Nats. Caught up with a fair few of you over there. I made it to the finals, but of course didn't win as it was the first time I had driven the car, or given it shit. Blew my tires in qualifying and had to buy new ones in the Championships which I then blew. I put a 7000rpm rev chip in the msd so I was on limits in 3rd gear most of the time. I Will be there next year, only better things to come. I will load pics and video shortly... :spoton:
