XU1 Head cast dates?

Well pickle me grandmother .

The E140 head pictured was listed on E -BAY by a well known LC-LJ parts dude from Adelaide in 2007 .

This head also had a small narrow section of rough casting ground smooth and 2815843 , Holdens XU1 head casting number was hand stamped where E 210 and later heads have this casting number .

If this particular head is not yours , then there are at least two like this .

May open up a can of worms .

The head on 'Barney's ' engine is an M 21 2815843 as is the old crank , the block is 7 M 1 ...... it is a very early JP
