Sorry guys, I am going to have to pull out.
I just can not afford to come down and do the photos at this time.

I have Rego and Insurance due on one car, and the other car has just cost me almost $600 in repairs. This weekend is going to cost me at least $500 and it's just impossible at this stage.

I am posting here to offer our room to anyone who is interetsed. We have a deluxe room booked at ther Tea Tree motor in for Friday and Saturday nights.

Cost is $108 per night I think..

To allow someone here the opportunity to secure it, I will be ringing to cancel it on friday afternoon. (Unless someone wants it before hand, I will cancel it and tell them your name so that you can have it instead.) otherwise it will go to the general public for the Commonwealth Games...

Cheers
Jason

Sorry to hear that too Jason, but completely understand your situation mate. It's hard enough normally, let alone when you get hit with bills and extra expenses.

Many thanks for mentioning the room too, perhaps someone else may grab it.

Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words guys...

No one contacted me regarding the room, so I cancelled it today...

We will still be covering Easternats, so if you are entering Brett, we will make sure we get plenty of pics for you...

Cheers
Jason

My Torana wont be ready in time for this day, can we race a different car or are mainly torana's allowed?? Most likely a 6 cylinder EA on Nitrous?

None of my Torry's are ready  . I'm Still working on them. But I'm going to be there anyway and I'll be racing, even if it has to be in my 30 second Cortina. :D Which would be a good contrast with the whole Holden vs Ford thing eh? LOL.

Nitrous you say..... excellent Smithers!! dansedgli - it's not just for Torana's mate, it's for forum members and whatever car they can bring. The day's more about having loads of fun, so bring along the EA for sure. Plenty of other forum members are racing non-Torana's too. It's gonna be a good mix.

Cheers.

TORANR AMORE - Nothin' wrong with a Cortina mate! 30 seconds is a bit harsh though! lol. You should be able to halve that! Well maybe nearly halve it.

As brett said guys, This day is really for us and our cars.

I completely understand that alot of cars are still under construction and thats no worries! Feel free to bring whatever is running to do a few laps in!

The more the merrier and it'll be great no matter what you decide to bring!

See the other thread for a current listing, and please post here if you know of any other confirmations!

Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm going to have to pull out of racing, I don't think the suby will be happy if I put it down the 1/4 mile or it may not let me drive home afterwards, I'll just have to watch from the side.

Was getting so excited too <_<

It might give me a chance to borrow a camera and film part of the day though

Just on that guys, will there be any helmets available on the day? And also what about wrist to ankle 'cover-alls' ....I saw them being hired at a charity day at Calder for passengers once.

Dunno if I can get a hold of a helmet, if I decide to punt the daily driver down the strip....or even scab a ride in someone's rocket.

What's the go?

Helmets are available but i dont know about coveralls.

I'd suggest bringing a pair of trackie dacks, and a jumper that you can throw on over your nice new polo shirt to cover arms and legs as needed ( Just for race time).

I'm going to wear cargo pants and my t-shirt, and then just chuck on a light jumper as needed to race with!

Cheers!
