Alright, well the car is now repaired, though my neighbour backed in to my door, but they are paying so I am happy about that!

Markbeath requested some photos of my engine as he is doing the same conversion. So here they are! Enjoy!

Josh (gen3torrie) requested a photo of my Regan head unit a while ago. Finally got a picture, as well as my gauges and a photo of the commodore seats from outside the car. Enjoy these too!

Not sure what you mean by that barman? We did not go through insurance as my excess would be $2000. So i told them to get a quote and i payed that. And I fixed mine myself.

Alright, well it seemed my motor had seized up so it was time for a transplant.

After a great ordeal getting it on to the car trailer, I got it to dads school and pulled the old motor out.
I also sanded back the engine bay and it will be sprayed on friday. I have another VN V6 motor at dads school and that has been cleaned up and ready to go in. The new motor looks fantastic with all chrome and alloy re-polished.

Only have pics of the new motor atm but i hope you all enjoy!

Nah there wont be a cam going in this time around. I just need the car back on the road asap so im trying to do everything as quickly as I can.

MRLXSS - All the bolt ons like power steering pulley, alternator, coil pack holder etc are all chrome or polished alloy, so it should look pretty good with all them bolted on too! :spoton:

Mark - Series 1 motor mate.

Heath - In the end it is a torana and they did have red motors lol. I just wanted something that looked good and would go well with all the chrome. A lot of the block shouldnt be seen but i wont know till iv dropped it in. Dad polished up the fuel rails as they were painted black, and look 1 million times better polished. cant wait to get it back running!

Yep if he was doing a decent amount of spraying he would put a mask on. The shot is a setup!

Alright here are a few pics that iv taken (sorry about quality, from a phone which is slowly dieing. Motor is back in and working well. Runs much nicer than the other.

Engine bay was sanded back to metal and primered:

Motor was attached to K-frame ready to roll and bolt in:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Engine bay was painted in our own custom mixed paint (Black with a mixture of blueprint paint leftover from Torailer):

Posted Image

Engine bolted all up, running well and dad finally got 2 days holiday out of his 2 weeks he was supposed to have :):

Thanks Ben!
We painted the heater box body colour just for something a bit different. It had to be slightly modified so the throttle body would fit, so a bit of plastic welding was done, but all turned out ok. Im planning on getting a chrome heater fan to go in there which is why there is nothing there at the moment.

Little it of an update:

Car will be coming off the road in about 2 weeks for a respray, and to fix the rust in the c-pillar and rear window.
I am tossing up which colour to go. It will stay blue, but im not sure whether I go back to ford blueprint, which is the colour it is now, or the new commodore voodoo blue.
Also it will be getting a scoopless bonnet and I am still not sure whether I should take the chrome trims off the doors, but the tail light trims will definately come off.

Im chasing a drivers door if anyone has one too.

Cheers,
Mitch
