Anything that needs doing will be done. At this stage I haven't cracked the engine open, it's done very low KM and I'll have to reconfirm with Mick what his race plans are as this engine has some Grice race parts. I'm just working through it slowly so it's done right. The plan is to make it look like it just left the dealership, so no 2pak paint job.

Looks like we are doing exactly the same style of restoration, it will be good to see how they advance. Will post some pictures up after this week end. Once Ian kell has had a look I will be striping it completely.

Is the hatch Chrome yellow, or Absinth? I can never tell unless it's in person.

I missed that question completely. I have been working away on this one the last few weeks and today finally added some colour to the engine bay, I'll get pics when I can

I've never seen a hatch that was so rust free. I guess the extra half ton of rust proofing from new must have worked

I've managed to get some more done on the car. I've put a coat of black on the bonnet, window surrounds and tops of the guards. It's only the first coat, but I'm very happy with the colour and finish of the paint off the gun. The black has to be right as it can't be buffed or polished.

Love the colour. Good to see you've seen the light.

I know of easier ways to earn the folding stuff.

I noticed that you moved the bonnet cable path in the first 2 pictures...Why?

Actually, I'm not making any money out of it at all, I did get a shed however.
I'm not sure what you mean by moving the bonnet cable path? I didn't change it at all.
As for seeing the light colour wise, the colour doesn't do it for me. Red is the way to go, look at a Ferrari, yellow is not as nice. I just hope it looks good when it's done.
