And started thinking about other cars and the Perenti (unsure of spelling).
I Googled it but couldn't find any pics.
I know of a few others and was wondering if any members had pics of the Perenti or any other such low number Aussie builds?

or try Perentie..named after a lizard...but I'll bet its not what you had in mind.
Others obscure ones could be the Nedloh...I beleive one of the Holden Execs from around 1948 had a go at building his own car..was it Harnett?

Yes it is an Alfetta GTV with a Holden V8 I think. I love both Giocatollos and Bolwell Nagaris with a passion.I'll have to google "Giocattolo" later and see if I can find some specs? That looks like a weapon! Very Alpha-ish.
One of the former had a twin turbo 304/308 in one, owned by a famous modified car person who I've forgotten the name of.

Close except it was the Hartnett. And he was the GM of Holden rather than an exec!!I beleive one of the Holden Execs from around 1948 had a go at building his own car..was it Harnett?
Built by Sir Lawrence(Larry) Hartnett, a small venture that fell over quickly. He then went on to establish the import arm for the Nissan motor company in Australia.
He was the person mainly responsible for the push to have Holden build a car locally and stop importing chevs etc.....
Of course it is history now that he was eventually dismissed by GM head office prior to the release of the 48-215.
Read it all in his biography, Big wheels little wheels....
A visionary for sure........ my great uncle Larry!
Cheers Greg Hartnett..

Creative Cars made them. They also built a Rolce Royce over a Kingswood or
Statesman!!!! LOL Few of them around Adelaide as limos too.
Also in Adelaide were the Elfin outfit, who in later years made a Lambo replica
with a Renault 3.0L V6 in it.
About 10 years back Rob...... (the editor of modern motor) got involved
in the remake of the Bolwell Nagari. It was at the Sydney motor show,
and was now doorless. Never got off the ground. Was one sexy car.
There's those two holden sportsters, Elfin based no?
Clive Potter, ex- Ford Design Chief made the Mirella, a beautiful sucked lozenge
shaped car with Mazda 626 underpinnings.... (1) off..
A couple of V twin powered ultra lightweights in there too.......
As I find them I'll try for more info and pics.....
