Goes alright.
We used to go cruzing in it down Lygon Street doing bunny hops passed all the Commodore boys and you would get plenty of chicks asking you if it was a real Porsche.
We called it the poor mans Porsche
The car we have was the Coke a Cola Rock and Roll Auction car we won it yrs ago from coke.
Its going on eBay soon as its been sitting for 9 yrs now.
The one in the pic is not the one we got will post some pics if you want some.
Has bluebird seat's and a fancy dash

There was also another mob that were making Ferrari copies - I think it was of an 250GTO??? based on a Datsun 240Z body and a V8. I saw a couple of very well built prototypes at Sandown years ago - a coupe and a convertible. Looked like the pic at the website below (won't let me link it), but probably a slightly later model.

quite a futuristic looking car
Then there was the Nota Fang from sydney, built near the old Amaroo Park raceway
But by far one of the best looking cars was built down here in Melbourne by Tony Farrell of the Farrell clubman race cars of the 70's. for some reason the name Dawes and North ring abeel as being involved in the car. It was knobbled by the lack of available parts from Brog warner in Albury
The sports car that he built was called the Illinga and was quite advanced > I ahve an article somewhere on it. There were either 3 or 4 built. I last saw one in the mistubishi dealership in Kew it was metallic blue.

These bullets are made on the gold coast from memory!Another one that comes to mind is an MX5 based Lexus V8 engined car called the Bullet Roadster. There was also an option of supercharging the engine.
