G'day Nath and welcome to the site.
Give me a yell if you need a hand with anything (you're only a 15 minute drive away). Would love to see your G-Pak in the flesh, looks like a beauty.
Cheers,
Rhys.
Oh and i think you might mean a 186 out of a commie...

He might mean a 185 Kw V8?

But the block says 2.8...its a 173

I know you are free to do what ever you want with your toys...but the value of G paks are going up...seems a shame to destroy one when you could do the same stuff to an SL ect.

Sorry Dragon graphics belong on a celica or skyline or something. I like the colour it is now...Jamaican Green? How many green cars do you see on the road...red and silver are a dime a dozen.

GSTRNG - the yellow Gpack is how it should be done.

Oh and welcome :tease:

I fully concur.

Any details on the motor? Looks like a 9-Port top end from where I am standing, and I have no idea how you can tell that it is a 173, FastEH lol the only way for me would be to open it in photoshop and brighten it until I can read the casting.

I mean the paintjob actually sounds very nice nice (except for the dragon vinyl... if you want a mural, go all out and get one airbrushed ;) ), but I wouldn't do it to such a rare vehicle. Just my 2c

welcome to the forum tubsy,
mate i realise its your car and you can do with it what you want, but please take note of whats being said here.
Your car will get a heap more attention (good attention) if you leave it as the current paint scheme is.
Try and count how many GPAKs you have seen lately, especially in as good condition as yours appears to be.
I agree with the others and say leave it as it is. if you wanna go painting it up and adding vinyl dragons, go buy an old pulsar or something that runs on pure rice. :tease:
cheers mate

Yeah that's perfect then. Have a red car, silver on bonnet, and silver "GPak" stripes down the side. Unique and respecting the vehicle's heritage. 2k paint is better than acrylic in many ways, so there is no problem with changing to 2k.

I mean your car but I reckon that'd look sweet.

its definitaly a 2.8, ie 173. plus they never made commo's with a 186 so that kinda works. nothing to say it hasnt been bored to 186 though.

looks like another good project, goodluck with it.

btw, bugger that holley off :P.
