Make sure you keep the sleeper look, that thing is going to be a giant killer, just like back in the day! Well done.

Im taking it to get dyno tuned tomorrow morning. Going camping on the weekend so I'll probably pick it up Monday night from the tuner.

Just going to tune to standard wastegate pressure for now which is 8psi I believe. Looking to get a very very sedate tune to start off with, don't want to blow a box or diff before I even get to drive the thing!

It'll be going back in a couple months for a higher boost tune.

I'll let you all know how it goes!

Even 8psi should give you a bit more go.

I assume the motor is pretty much run in now?

perfect sleeper - get the rear steelies widened and throw some decent width rear tyre on to help stop them turning to smoke and you'll be set :spoton:

Yeah Mick not a problem. I'll PM you my phone number or you can get it off Alex.

The tuner managed to get some of it done, just wanted to keep it over the weekend and check the cold start on Monday morning. Cant wait!

And I've already got some wide 13" steelies, just the 225's are bald and I don't think 225 wide 13" tyres are readily available anymore.

I'm looking at getting some 14" steelies with some good quality 205's in the next couple of weeks.

And I got my hands on a brand new (yes, never been used) 3.55 Banjo LSD from an guy I know for nothing.

Sorry guys, been a while since Ive had time to sit down on the computer!

The bad news is that the snout of the converter somehow siezed onto the bearing thingy inside the oil pump in the trimatic causing it to lose drive. This happened while tuning was being done. Bummer.

The really bad news is that its January now and the poor old thing is sitting inside the garage at home with no gearbox...its been there for 3 months now!

I think this week Im actually motivated enough to get the converter and pump sorted out. The tuner says he tuned it to 4000 or so rpm so once I get the box back in it I'll at least be able to drive it around and find/fix any more issues that may arise. And more importantly take her for a Friday night Harry's diner cruise! Then it'll be off to the exhaust shop to get a knock in the exhaust sorted out then back for its final tune. Lets hope the box holds together this time. And the diff!
