I read something yesterday (can't remember where) that the "new" car will be different to the "concept" car as the concept car was built on a commodore platform.

They've talked about releasing a new Torana for years now. The TT36 may well be outdated by 2011! I think they should bring a new Torana out with a V8 in it, that's what really made them special in my opinion. Either way though, I'll be keen on buying one if they ever come out. :D

Are you sure the article you linked us to is recent or even accurate? I was under the impression that the TT36 was not going to be the one they actually want or wanted to make...

Ohhhh yeah, so we can get even further inflated prices, and lots of yuppies who can't even do an oil change rocking up at cruises and track days in their new Toranas. That would be great...

Kev, are you talking about the TT36 or the SSX? IMO the SSX looked heaps better than the TT36!

Hahaha, a yuppie in a Torana that is going to be a funny sight. I can see it now Prada seat covers and Versace Race Engine stickers. No more Shazza's and Dazza's, we'll have Lincolns and Rosemary's instead. :D

Never thought I'd hear Torana and Yuppie used in the same sentence.

I agree, I reckon the SSX was a sweet concept and it looked awesome.

Yeah "Toranas" with stickers of the aftermarket stereo manufacturer on the tinted windows. We've got a lot to look forward to...

Yes, as Matt said its on the front cover of Jan 08 Motor magazine.

Its a 2 door, and will be available in a 4, a 6, and twin turbo 6, even a turbo diesel, but no V8.

And there's talk of resurecting the SL/R model. :spoton:

Check out the mag....looks awesome in orange :spoton:
