I'm trying to con a couple of mates to come up. One with a WRX wagon, one with a EL, and one with a V6 Magna.

All pretty stock but i don't think any of them have been racing before. I think they would enjoy it, as long as you guys don't smoke em too bad. :tease:

And my mate with the HJ ute should be back again. :spoton:

I'll probably be towing my torana up, only coz i dont want 2 get stranded up there if anything goes wrong. But am i allowed to tow it on my P's? I will be anyway but just wondering if its legal to or not.

I don't know about Victoria Matt, but in SA I'm allowed to tow anything, provided that it is 'safe to do so'

But you Mexicans seem to have some bullshit P plate laws over there, so I'm not sure.

I think it depends what date you got your licence, as the laws have changed.

Do they sell fuel at Heathcote ?

I think that P platers are only allowed to tow a Single Axle trailer.. We inquired about it a few years back when i got my P's.. Not sure if things have changed though...

Mick, I think they sell avgas there...

ill be towing my torana up there and i was always under the imprssion with what matty said but the old apprentice at our work had been pulled over heaps towing his race car even got a canary on the trailer from highway patrol and those guys will get u for as much as they can n they took his licence n saw it was ps and every thing and they didnt say anything to him towing a car

Yea i towed a tandem on p's but never got pulled over
The crank n pistons are in the engine so just dial cam in head on n the other lil bits n hopefully fire her up thursday! so at this stage the HJ will be all go!!
R u sure bout the avgas?

Stedz, I think Rick got the avgas when he was there last. You just have to ask someone working there if they can man the Petrol Bowser for you. I "Think" its about $2 a litre..

Yeah they have AVGAS up there, I think Matt is right $2 a litre, just ask the staff.

Sounds like the day is going to be a good one. Good luck to everyone racing. There better be lots of photos and videos posted. I can't make it even as a spectator this year, got one of my best mates weddings on that day in Brighton.
