I'm a lillte bit worried about the heat, But Makka has bet me beers that it will not be over 35! LOL

I will be a lot happier if its 30 as it was reported to be in melbourne the other day!!!

Does someone want to remind us of the gate-opening time and suggestions for cruising starts? I don't remember reading any... but as we are trailering I doubt we'll be cruising.

Forecast for Heathcote is 38. Unless that changes, I think I might have to bail. I don't want to run the car down the strip in that weather - concerned about harming. Plus I plan to drive it there. Fu$%*ng hot round trip with no air. Anyway, lets see - if the forecast is revised down, you won't keep me away. Otherwise, could be a beach day.

Can't you put that nice little yellow LJ on a trailer and bring it along, we'd all love to see it !

The temperature will be the same for everyone.

Temp is not meant to get hot until the afternoon i think..

If it is better than forecast (and I mean quite a bit better), I'll definitely be there. But again, sweltering 5 hours round trip and not being able to have fun while there because of the heat potentially harming the car is not really my idea of Laughing all day. So lets see. And no Yellow XU2. It is not ready to go anywhere right now. , I am driving the L34 up if I come at all.

I am in the same boat. My car likes to get hot on the coldest of days let alone 38. My mate (entry No 19 on list) also has over heating issues and will also have to bail if it is 38. Very disapointed

Don't know how many of us will be getting much of that tonight!

Either to excited! or Up all night preparing their cars!!!!

I wonder if this might be a good oppurtunity to utilise the fact that there is another event on at night, and ask them if we can join in!

Yeah, I am Hoping that Cool change reaches Heathcote!

I am watching this page.

http://www.weather.c...thcote/detailed

It shows it in pretty good detail, You can see current temps etc... At the moment, Todays forecast is very similar to tomorrows forecast for heathcote. What i will be watching is When the Temperatures start getting hot! At the moment its only 23 there, Which is nice! LOL So the Drive up will be ok. Yesterday the temperature didnt really rise until about 2-3pm, when it seemed to go up about 8 degrees!!! So if that trend continues, The Temps will be ok untill about the lunch Break at Heathcote, Normally after the lunchbreak we run the DYO (Which is a slower paced event, where you do one run, park it and wait to see if you run again) So your car will get a decent 10-15min break in between runs.

I would much prefer if the Tempreture was going to be less than 30... But on a positive, least it doesnt look like its gonna rain out like it was looking last year!!!

My Advice to everybody would be. Get there Early, Get your Car Scrutineered as soon as you can! And get as many runs in early as you can! Racing Starts at 11! When it starts getting warm, Turn your car off in the staging lane and just push it until its your turn to race!

Sorry gang, the Red Rocket is neither a 173 or a 355 at the moment , was hoping it would be one or the other but didn't turn out that way. Also in the middle of my ATPL exams so SHOULD prob be studying.
When the 355 is in i will be at every event possible :spoton:

For anyone coming from the east like myself, if I am on citylink-western ring road-craigyburn bypass etc, what is the best spot to catch up with everyone who's meeting at kmart, without leaving the freeway ?
