Hey Guys!

Looks like this is going to be yet another unreal day of drag racing and fun!

I suggest though that at this stage, if your not 110% coming, that you indicate it in a post, but not add yourself to the list. The list really helps those organising get an accurate indication of numbers!

Cheers guys! I'm spewing i wont be able to make this one!

I missed the first two due to sickness and/or injury. Hopefully I'll be right for March, provided I can get a lift. My doctor still doesn't want me driving yet, bugger.

1. Do a big skid at the start!!! (Best fun!)

2. Roll up the the lights!

3. Try and get the best reaction time you can! I think i was going on the 1st or 2nd yellow light, which by the time the message was sent to my foot and the car moved, the light was green! (Best just experiment this on the day)

4. Slam the gears! and Chirp your way up the strip!

Im no pro, only done it once! but thats the way i did it and had a blast!!!

Thanks,
Any cheap easy tricks to do to the car to get it to hook up a bit better and avoid lots of wheelspin ?

Get some air out of the tyres. I run 16 psi cold in my street tyres when I go to the drags and its quite different off the line. Tends to wander around a bit at speed though!!

yeah, drop your tyre pressure a bit. Also if you do a big skid your tyres will be nice and stickey... Plus there is so much more traction on the track than there is on the street! You can give it twice as much and twice as fast as you do on the street!

Yeah and a low cold tyre pressure will obviously turn into a higher pressure once you've ripped a skid. If you don't wanna do big burnouts you don't need to lower the pressure so much.

When I first went, I was hoping for hot chickies in bikinis and highheels waving and dropping their bikini tops as the green light sign. ^_^

Then to find out they use lights......
Man, was I dissapointed !!! :<_<:

Cheers,
Rick.

Can anyone chuck us the regulations and costs? I don't know where they are :fool:

Good probability of someone else I know bringing their quick car which is a cross between a GM and a Ford lol.

Thanks Matty. Is there anything about features in cars though? Like relating to overflow bottles, tailshaft loops etc? I assume the sub 10.99999sec ANDRA regs apply too?

I couldnt find it on the site, but from what i can remember....

You need an overflow
No Oil Leaks
No loose Items in the car

Tailshaft loops arent required at Heathcote, And i assume the sub 10 bracket rules apply
