Gday,
I am part way through putting an edelbrock intake manifold on my 253 and I have noticed that it doesnt sit down far enough in the valley as my heads/block ahve been decked at some stage , so I am going to need some machined off the intake manifold faces.
how do I measure how much I need taken off? should I just take both my manifolds to a machine shop and ask them to make my new one like my old one?

I was never going to cut any corners, I just wasnt sure if I would be able to take both manifolds in and ask them to machine my new one to be like the old one or If I would have to take some measurements for them as I dont feel like pushing my car there and it has to be back together before tuesday as i have a photo shoot.
