Im on dial up so I apoligize(for my spelling) and for the delay in posts, but we dont have too many replies to the repos that we are trying to promote for this new class, I thank Sam, for going to such a great effort, to get the ball rolling, and I think this can be a really good thing, not just for having some fun, but look at the oportunity of taking people for hot laps at your local circuit for a fee , to cover fuel tyres etc, and have a ball, as they do at Oran Pk, This thing has so much potential, where else can you get to race a car so close to the day or have a blast at your local track in these beasts. This is a winner for sure, lets support it !

Pete, you'd be most welcome to run your sedan with us, I'm in the same boat as you anyway until my hatch is ready.

Okay guys, been busy working on a set of rules to start with. At this point it only covers group c, and will look at group a if there is enough interest.
I have used the cams rule set for historic cars as a baseline (this covers Na - Nc and Group C - A), but I've narrowed it down to group c and then amended the areas that I believe make the original format too expensive which will hopefully make it more attractive to people looking to build a car.
Let me stress this is not a final set of rules, just a first draft, and I'm after everyones opinion... so feel free to pick it to bits.. :)

Thanks to Kev for hosting it for me!

Go here - Link to regs scroll down to the bottom and click on the download link.

The seats a bit vague but I am guessing current race seats are permissible.

Double hit on seats...in descriptions and on the last page...I was looking at the last page...the other one covers them...

Tachos...need to be made bigger from 105mm to 125mm....thats the std Autogauge 5" model.

Other than that..Sam...Take a bow! :spoton: :spoton:

Yeah looking at the wording its a bit vague, I dont see any need for it to comply to the seat style standards for group N... Just your regulation fixed back sports seat should suffice. Missed the tacho size too, definately need to be at least 125mm.

Thanks for the comments guys, keep the suggestions coming!

I dont see any probs with increasing stroke, maybe we should set a restriction on capacity to 6L, like the IPRA engine regs... What does everyone else think?

Hey, I just want this thing to get off the ground, with no dramas, Sam has made the initial start of it all, (and with great effort) and its up to everyone to support it and follow some rules close to the era, its really a have some fun thing I guess, so bending a few rules along the way is probably OK, if all agree, we are all on a budget ( I think), so lap times will indicate grid positions, for fairness ( as in reverse grids), I really dont mind as long as no one crashes into me, or wants to rub door handles.
