End of a era!

Today was the hardest day I have had to endure for many a year. I parted with my beloved Redslur. After my e-bag venture I was sort of committed. Although it didn't reach reserve, I always had a buyer prepared to pay the money I was after. It even bought tears to my eyes when the new owner drove off into the distance. I had my loyal mate Toranavista there too, think he was as devastated as me. I only sold it because, in my eyes, it was too much money sitting in the garage. I am one of those fellars that is too anal to use it for what it is meant to be used for, hence me having to part with it.
Although I recently purchased a lovely substitute (thanks to LX5008) I will endeavor to get a good Torry that I won't be too paranoid to drive. I have been given permission by the boss. Won't happen tomorrow, but as soon as I find something that I can turn into my next dream I will pounce. Sometimes you have to put the family first!
Cheers

I am sure that your sadness will pass and be replaced shortly with joy for the next project.
Look at it this way! you have made another enthuisists day by selling him the car!
As long as it went to a good home then all is good!
Can't wait to see some pics of the new project! when you find it!

Maybe both!!!
I know you will get another Torry its in the blood and I for one am looking forward to going on more runs with you.
Maybe when you get to have a drive of mine it will be just the tonic needed to give your search a lift. I hope so anyway.
Cheers

As sad as it was for me too, I get heaps of enjoyment following LX5008's
resto' and I know it will be a good one.
Bit different for you. Your ride was tops.
No doubt you have already started searching!! so look forward to a new baby
for the drive way. As you said, one you're not too worried to drive.
You've got lots a pics, lots a memories, and lots a mates who can help
you thru the doldrums initially.
Good luck finding the next REDSLUR, or similar. A hatch might be a nice departure?
Cheers, Leakey

It was too cheap! With Muscle car prices going up like crazy, there are plenty of bargains with the early HSV's. The money I got for the Torry is unheard off....hence me being too paranoid with it sitting in the garage..The new owner is absolutely rapped. He rang me last night after getting home and said it drove like a new car. I know he will look after it like I did..
