I've got a couple of heads lying around at my place and a couple on engines I don't know the history of. Would be great if I could find out exactly what these are:

9937262
2811930 (I have 2 of these, one is a Yella Terra)
7429461

Thanks,

Philip. \m/

2811930 is definately an LH head as well. I have 2 on HL blocks and one is an SLR 6 engine.

Hi FastEHolden.

Are you sure 7420081 is a 149 closed chamber head ?

I have it listed as a 179 open chamber head. The L casting would normally confirm that.

I was only using the "my assistant" search....and since then have found 2 posts saying its a 179 head.

The one that gave me the info was this thread.
http://www.gmh-toran...7338&hl=7420081

I think since we have so many of these head related questions we need a decent guide. Something combining year, model, block numbers, a speil on High and Low Comp heads etc.
