Does anyone have any pics of ultra blue hatches ? Dont think I have ever seen a road going one.

Ultra blue is an A9X only colour from the factory, and only 2 hatches were made, both have been stolen over the years, one is recovered no longer blue though.

The guy that owned Lance motors, his son had it from new, then a guy I knew,
S. Pesl, from St marys bought it from the son, and dont really know where it went then.

Sorry, dont really know what happened to those cars. Does anyone know of a metalic dublin green Xu1 from Max Wrights at Kingswood, my dad bought it new, interested to see what happened to it.

I'm guessing you mean a blue hatch from there right? Only 2 were made, one was stolen a few years ago, about 10, never seen again, the other, stolen, recovered and now another colour with no tags

Yes it is. Bought it about 3 years ago. The colour certainly makes it stand out. The shade of the blue changes with the amount of light. Sometimes under very dull light it appears to have a touch of purple in it and with bright sunlight the blue changes to a very light shade of blue.

When I find out some details from s. pesl, I will pm you to see if it is the same car, or check you tags for the Ultra Blue code on the colour to see if it matches. Can you send me some pics of the tags?

rocket , i remember the a9x steve pesl had well , i went to school with him at st marys high and used to ride dirt bikes out and around his place before st clair estate was built , it was all paddocks then , pesls were doing well as there old man had an earth moving business , if you lived in st marys you might remember the tuza twins got an L34 each for there 18th birthday , there old man made horse floats ..

oh by the way there was a dublin green xu1 at the last house in mcfarlane st south st marys , down the road from the primary school .. was that your old mans one ?? i remember it well ...

Yeh, I used to go riding out that way to, raced motorcross for years, I lived in werro, dont remember the Tuza boys, and not sure what happened to dads Xu1 after he sold it. It was a dec 72 model, and he bought it jan 73.

ooh the good old days , hey rocket do you have any pics of your dads xu1 ?

thats a real shame about his a9x getting stolen back then , however that was typical sydney back then and a lot of the stolen cars were insurance jobs .

you,d be lucky to back track pics of tags , back then they meant nothing , my first car was an lc gtr and i didnt take any notice of the tags , it was just a torana back in those days ...

Yeh , I have got 1 black & white pic, polaroid of course, I ll dig it out and email it to you. From memory, I think Im standing next to it,about 8 or 9 years old at the time. Shite thats showing my age!
