Pretty impressive list there...

Hi

Not GMH or NASCO but probably K-Tel are the wiper vanes designed to hold down the wipers at speed. I was surprised that you can still get them at SupeCheap.

Hi GTRXU1

You've done pretty well there, I'll have to check my lists to see if you've missed anything.

One suggestion is to separate the genuine list from the non-genuine list & add the part numbers if you you have them.

A few comments:-

You have listed 'Bonnet Lock' twice (No. 2 & 27). What is No. 28 'Electronic Boot Release'. Also No. 23 'Rear Louvre' & No. 29 'Thermo Fan', were these available from GM/Nasco ? I'm familiar with No. 30 'Gear Lever Lock', but were these available for LC/LJ ? No. 24 'Rear Parcel Tray Brake Lamp' probably didn't exist in the 70s.

If your car is a GTR, then accessories like No. 4 'Lighter'. No. 8 'Handbrake Warning Light', No. 10 'Lamp - Rear Compartment', No. 15 'Power Brake', No.25 'Wheel Trim Rings', No. 31 'Glovebox Lamp' are actually not accessories for your particular car, because they are already fitted factory standard. What you probably can do is list your complete list & them mention what items your car has as factory standard & what items you've added later.

I reckon it's great when somebody does all of this research to add to their display at cars shows, we need more of it.

Dr Terry.

Actually I have to disagree with you there as the gear lever lock was also for GTR, I have the original NASCO fitting instructions which also state what to do for installation on your GTR.

The link shows some pictures I took of the car sometime ago...other items are still to be added, when done I will post a few more photos.

what about a store mannequin dressed in period clothes to
stand next to your display, big flares open shirts, long hair etc..
endless possibilities easily sourced too.
