could you measure the height off a few lobe's
to see how much lift at the lobe
my hx cam has only got c stamped on orther end,
and has about 285''[tho] lift at lobe'
that would make it a wade 373 grind,
your's might have about 303'' lift at lobe
very interesting

He had a genuine LC XU1 in the early 70's.
We spoke about cams as I remember when he changed his (I was about 12 at the time) and I mentioned the "HX" cam.
His instant response was no, it was a "XH" cam and he commented that he had looked up the part No. (he worked at a Holden dealer).
The paperwork from "Wade's" above^ seems to confirm this?

measure the overall height off lobe,
then measure how wide and take that figure away from height,
then you will have valve lift at lobe, do it with vernier's or get someone's help,
i dont know about camshaft figure's
allso clive cams told me that wade cams made all the cams and
G.M.H STAMPED THEM

Thanks to threeblindmice for posting my pictures,of my cam gear, and crank gear,I just want to have your opinion as as what happened to my crank gear its damaged on the back of the gear towards the block,I drove the xu-1 for 7years like that,it only had a noise when the engune was hot, didn't affect the performance of the car,and the the oil pressure, was not affected either, regards,John.

Would anybody like to have a copy of the original GMH CAM profile drawings for the GMH part No 9929247 as identified in the Fiv Antonio book?
I have a copy of the actual drawings ex-factory specifying part number 9929247 with the complete set of profiles.
LBW
looks like LBW has flown the coop,
anyways,i,ve got my 73 xu-1 150 engine running again after a very long time and its running to smooth,so i,m guessing the cam is not correct,so i,m going to replace it with something very lumpy.
could someone help me with a grind for this kind of engine please.
been looking at clive cams and ivan tighe cams.
