G'day, I have just got a new project to play around with. Picked up a Leyland Mini yesterday for $400, its fairly straight and rust free but it has had rats living in it.
I am doing it up for my little sister and will hopefully have it ready for paint by christmas, its going back its original colour of Country Cream.
so this means that dads LC has been put on the back burner and it will have to wait till next year.

I will post up some piccies later

I reckon the clubman fronts look nice :)

My neighbour has one and it looks the goods. Sounds like an interesting project - something different.

I like Mini's....and The Car's as well. Cream is a nice soft colour... You paint it anything to wild and it will either get stolen.. or everyman and his dog will want to try and race it.. Looks nice and Straight to. Good Luck with it.

seriously, paint a union jack on the roof. Keep the body cream for the 'white' bits of the flag.

You would only need like 1 Litre of paint to do the whole car! Actually a pressure pack would probably be enough for the whole thing!

Hmm, never really been my favorite car in the world, the Mini, but yeah, should come up alright with a new lick of paint and a bit of TLC. Cream is boring colour tho, its going to need something stronger to lift it. The 'clubman' front you guys were referring to, looks HB to me.

put a bit of colour on the guard, looks a bit too much like my car! We were hoping for something a bit darker and greyer, its hard to tell on the colour map though. now she is talking about orange!

I wouldn't recommend a Weber for your sister, too many compromises to make.
A Weber will make it impossible, or difficult at best, to get both an air cleaner and a speedo cable on. You will probably need to trim the speedo opening in the fire wall to fit an air cleaner. A Weber will also make plenty of induction noise and you made find that the car will also get the smell of petrol inside. Look out for a pair of SU's from an MG Midget or a Cooper S, much better option in my opinion.
