panthervs: i mounted a VL v8 radiator on the engine side and my cooler on the front side and squeezed my thermo's in between, very tight but looks tidy and hidden.

are you just running the afm as a reference like the old grp c bluebirds used to do? otherwise it doesnt make sense. and if you are, then its not necessary to run an air filter, you could just mount the afm up under your glove box out of sight.
did you get your air box sorted out? pics?

The turbo just blows air on the ground, and the engine runs naturally aspirated, drawing air through the plenum via the throttle body.
Ive just temporarily cable tied a pod filter over the throttle body, to stop any dirt getting sucked in when i drive the car on a test drive, the pipe work "from" the intercooler will join to the front of the throttle body (in place of the pod filter)
I dont need a AFM as i am running Microtech engine management that uses a MAP sensor for reference.
Filter box pic's......
All installed, still need a K&N (just running paper filter for now)

^^^ top left is small breather hose from oil catch can and the 35mm pipe going to air box (botton centre of pic) gets connected to the vent from the Blow Off Valve (so its not to atmosphere and legal)

Air Box is rubber mounted so it can move a bit under hard acceleration if it needs to, have opened up (cut) the forward area of the air box (left of pic) behind the headlight, just to get a little more cold air in.
Have not yet cut any holes in the old battery tray area yet ,untill i know where the intercooler pipes will sit.

Thanks Brett, i am a little surprised that everyone so far that has seen the air box seem to have liked it.airbox looks quite neat..
Yes it is a VT to VY (V6) Commodore air box, liked it for its 3.5 inch Dia mouth, and only cost about $50 new !Looks like VT-VX commodore.

Car is now registered and driveable
![](http://www.gmh-torana.com.au/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)
Quite a bit of tuning to do, and a few items that need minor attention, but happy with it all so far.
Boost gauge stopped working and Tacho had a bit of a hernia, but i hope the Diode i have got for it will fix that.
I will get some pic's of the cooler pipe work etc posted soon.

after seeing the things you have for sale here are you still going ahead with this project, or were they surplus parts?
Yes, all the parts are what i have left over, the ENG is the first one i intended to use, the first idea was to get a "standard" RB30 Turbo in the car and going, then later on make it go fast, i got a bit carried away (can u tell ?) buying all sorts of stuff on the way (at one stage i had 4 intercoolers,3 RB sumps, 4 lots of RB ENG mounts
![:banghead:](http://www.gmh-torana.com.au/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)
As i learned more and more i changed plans and went overbord a bit with yet another engine
![](http://www.gmh-torana.com.au/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
I just wanted to keep everthing untill i had my car on the road incase i needed anything !
Now i want the space !

I used the diode from a VL dash at it worked fine. You just need to make sure it's done the right way. Need a picture?
