I just wanted to inform you all of a beauty i have stored away in my garage, this 1978 completly origional UC holden sunbird HATCH has done only 129,000 kms and has been owned by my fathers ex girlfriends mother from new and is in remarkable condition!
and i mean remarkable, i would comfortably say it is the best conditioned one in Australia let alone the world! with the paint still shining like new (sky blue) and the interior regulary mr muscled and also appearing like new this is an absolute gem.
we purchased this off my dads ex girlfriends mum about 3 years ago and i have had dream after dream to modify it but dad insists i keep it original, the only problem is that me being 20 i dont have the time or money to do anything with it and both dad and i have cars of our own. We have been happy keeping in the shed and taking it out for the odd sunday drive but recently dad has come into some financial difficulties and we are thinking of selling (not at a giveaway price might i add due to its individuality). so if anyone would like to see photos i would be more than happy to send them via email or is there any way to post them on this site?? and i do honestly believe its worth a geez.
cheers for your time

We have tan interior too. Looks like the one sitting outside our place, except it's a sedan, 96,000kms, old lady owner got it for bargain price of $1200 with RWC.
Would love to see the interior pics.
Ours is Opel 4cyl & auto.

As far as I know Aquarius only came in solid, but Atlantis came in solid or metallic - could be wrong but it looks like a dead spit of our UC and the one my brother had in 1979 - both metallic paint.

Well done getting the pics up. Interior is awesome.
Good luck with the sale, I doubt you'll have a problem at $4.2K
This would be the perfect candidate for Ebay matey, especially if
your dad is after the money. Chuck it on at $4.2K starting price,
no reserve.
Thanks for the pics!

I've been in the same position as your old man before, and sold
a genuine SS hatch, and a very straight LX hatch because I really
needed the dough. I always thought, well, there will be another one
just around the corner.
But.... they're getting harder to find at affordable prices now a days.
Maybe you should keep it, if you and you're dad are enthusiasts.
Here's an idea. Swap for the same model, but poorer condition.
Get the difference in cash. Yours is totally rust free, totally original,
original pillar seams etc. Would be a top start point for someone building
and A9X replica.
