Anyway I'll take some pics with our "proper" camera of the clutch linkage mod tomorrow before I fit up the driver's side extractor lower half as the linkage will be hidden after that.
Just wondering, you're in far NQ right? I grew up in Townsville, left in 97, bought my SS there in 94.

Yep in FNQ, further up the road from Brownsville.

Had a bit of a play in photoshop, thought it would be easier to label than trying to describe in full. My mate made this when I was just working at servos. Now that I'm a mechanical fitter by trade I might make it a bit different. Instead of welding a nut onto the main mounting bracket I would drill and tap into the bracket itself. Then again I have access to the workshop at the abatoir I work at with welders, a plasma cutter, drills, taps and endless amounts of free steel!! I'd just be making one that would look pretty though, mine might be a bit rough looking but it certainly did the trick for a few thousand kays before I took my Torrie off the road.
If you're in no rush I might consider making a modified setup for ya if you're happy to send the bits down to Brissy. Just a thought if ya get stuck.

Just looking at your clutch bkt. mods, how much less pedal effort are you talking? I have an identical set up and was goig to go for full cable Thanks

It's had a one tonner clutch installed after I took it off the road and i've only driven it in and out of garages but yeah is still nice and smooth and light. Not modern car light, you still know it's an old car but better than original for sure.
The more I look at the pictures of mine the more I'm tempted to make one myself, only nice looking.
Cheers

HQ ones don't fit they are to tight!
I sell all the components to make a 6 cyl into a v8 pedal on a LH or LX man pedal Being the top bit that you can just weld on top of your 6 cyl pedal and also the clutch bracket. all you have to do is get a clutch cable from rare spares.
Weld this ontop os your pedal 6 cyl LH/LX
V8 clutch bracket for a standard trimatic bellhousing
I also have the top bit for the bracket ontop of the pedal.
If anyone needs one let me know. i do sell them on ebay but for forum members i will do them a bit cheaper.

Made a new one for mine recently using 1" flat and a bushing that allowed me to install a $3 ball bearing for the pivot. Very light pedal now and no chance of the old pivot bolt breakage at traffic lights!!
