Hi,

I have a couple of ID questions on 2 gearboxes I have here.

I have an Opel box that was a spare for my last LC GTR, but the car is long gone so the box will be going too. Which set of numbers is the cast date on the box? I can see a couple that may be it but they are very different.

I also have a second box that came with another LC GTR I previously owned but I'm not sure what it is, but is probably an Aussie 4 speed? Can someone confirm by the numbers on it? they are:

Holden J252
Holden 6 7433771

I also have pics of both boxes if someone wants to host them for me.

Looking for ID and possible value of both as they will both be sold in the very near future.

cheers :)

On the Opel box, there is a set of 4 numbers on the side of the box which are cast in and raised.

Then there is a raised, flat rectangular platform on the underside which was 4 numbers which have been stamped into the plate like an engine number.

These 2 sets of numbers are different. Which set is the date everyone wants to know?

The part number 7433771 is for the side cover on 'Aussie' 4 speeds and all-synchro 3 speed gearboxes.

Thanks Grant :) Are Aussie 4 speeds worth anything?
