What brand uni joints are you using? Is your car an auto?my car is eating Uni joints and the only thing that I can find wrong is the pinion angle is a bit excessive...
cheers

KTA104 Adjustable upper $360 ( $325 club discount )
KTA121 Adjustable lower 655mm $297 ( $260 club discount )
The McDonald Bros arms will not fit if you diff has been made using Torana brackets. The Whiteline arms will fit with Torana mounts on the diff.

yes it is an auto, the brand is Toyo and it only lasted a bit over 2 weeks but I was doing a lot of kilometres. What brand uni joints are you using? Is your car an auto?my car is eating Uni joints and the only thing that I can find wrong is the pinion angle is a bit excessive...

lifting the trans mount will make it worse as the pinion is pointing down.
I am pretty sure that my diff actually uses the end of lower trailing arms as the upper mount on the diff so the McDonald Bros. ones should be fine, or the McCormick Father+Son ones that I am probably going to use will be fine too.
for the moment I am looking at relocating the front mount for the lower arms a little bit further forward which should fix things for now

I ran into the same problem when I went to fit my Mcdonald adjustable arms. There was nothing on their website to say the arms don't fit standard torana diff mounts. After receivieng the arms I called back within a week and was told the problem was very rare. After being put on hold, the guy gets back on the phone and says I have two options. a ) redrill the mounting hole on the arm 5mm below the original hole. Yeah right as if I was going to do that, b ) Notch the diff mounts to give the arms clearance. No offer of a refund was made.Whiteline also make adjustable upper and lower arms.

The Mcdonald arms look very well made, I guess it just depends who answers the phone on the day that makes the difference in the sort of customer service you get.

looking at the uc ones, one long edge is straight, whereas the other edge expands about half way through so it goes over the bush on the diff.
or is it just uc/a9x like this?

I have just fitted some like scottya's ones, dad made them up out of some seamless chromolly that he had lying around.
they seem to have fixed my problem, so far so good!

The fact that the rear bracket is offset just means the true arm 'centre' line runs a little diagonally through the arm.
That raises an interresting question though on your arms Makka - how did your dad make the arms to suit the dogs leg arms you had before, I would have thought you would need the bracket at the diff end of the arm welded on at an angle or there would be some twisting of the bushes on the diff housing required to bring the front af the control arm round to where the bracket is on the body?
