but you were not using the same tyres used 40years ago. How can you compare them with the the tyres of today, you can't.

all i can say is who cares! the past is the past!
i care about now, i built my own and i love driving it, the last thing i think about is what tags it has or what happenned over 30years ago when im driving it.
if people want one then build one its not hard.
im not into id tags im into cars. so many people live in the past, life is today!
its such a long time ago you will never get to the bottom of it all anyway, to many years, too many lies, faded memories, and wild imaginations involved. IMHO.

Dellow automotive made 1000 hydraulic clutch Kits for V8 LJ Torana's and Sold them all,Plus the Auto V8 LJ 's around and the Rat Trap Manual LJ's about.
So there have to be at least a 1000 LJ's of them around

So it Adds up,you seen the information.

I have sat and read it all but at the end of the day, all it shows is Joe had an orange LJ that may have had a V8 at some stage, none of the information proves that this car was one of the three built/completed BY HOLDEN in the factory. Strange that for years the orange car was supposedly sebring, now it's Lone o Ranger? I've chased up a few leads on the pink car over the years myself and in 1990 I was told by an instructor at Wagga his mate had it in a shed in Adelaide, on blocks untouched and complete with crazed paint. Never saw any proof of it. I know Bob morris had one too, complete with the twin fillers, heaps of people made them up and so many claim to be the real deal. I know however, the old story of only 3 cars being completed is incorrect, several more were completed but never left the factory, they were put back down the line as sixes. This would explain why some 72 cars have the extra brackets and bits people talk about. I'll do some more reading before I write it completely off but at this stage not convinced and Allan requested I don't repeat anything from his emails so I can't post it up.

You seen that Car Details i sent you, The 308 engine number,its chassis number,its Vic Rego Number and its last vic reg number and its QL Engine number.
So it was not destroyed at crash barrier it was stolen in Bundoora Vic in 1985.
So hence that wasent Destroyed,why would Pink and white LJ XU-1's hit the barrier if orange car never

i only asked reda9x to look at it,i emailed it to him,all he had to say was Joe Felice Lone O ranger Car dident do the crash barrier test like he thought all the cars did,i emailed him the information,to say it dident,the car was still around to 1985,was Sold by Holden Less v8 but with a QL Donk,that part true,but it was a V8 Prototype,and never crashed,thats all was getting across
