I was looking through this magazine today with a mate and we noticed a couple of things. On page 15 they make note of the hatch being a 4.2 litre and the 6 cylinder engine under it they seemed to miss the fact that 6 cylinder is sitting on a HX chassis. On page 13 I could be wrong, but the forth car looks to be ultra blue? That could well be an A9X and it does appear to have something extra written on the window. Back further is a hatch with no chrome trim or  stripes and black door handles....

i think the 253 sitting by its self in front of the ss is ment fot the it. i cant see a 6cyl and 3 speed going into a 253 ss. great pics but

Yeah, they mention the engine ahead, but the 6 is obviously not for a Torana, look at the position of the brakes and the fact it's on a full chassis

Got my copy today from the local newsagent. Very impressive and worth the wait. Like they say, do yourself a favour and buy one.

Hey Red, there appears to be a radio aerial coming from the guard. look at the shoulder of the guy just in front of it (with the cap).

Great magazine. I've read it cover to cover a couple of times. Fantastic looking race car on page 48!

I noticed the mistake on Brock's last circuit race - they keep saying it was Phillip Island in February 2006, but it was Eastern Creek on March 25 and 26 in the same A9X that he raced at Phillip Island.

And what colour trim is "State Black" in production volumes on page 17 - i wonder how different it is to the Slate Black trim in my car?

Enough of the nit picking - this is really a good magazine.

The antenna is in the hatch behind it. I'm convinced the car he is wiping is an A9X ultra blue sedan, it looks to have a rear spoiler.

Lots of people describe it as black, but its slate, not black. I've even heard people refer to the insert as being slate! Yours is slate Mick.

Spoke to Eric today about my 2 issues ordered and said that they would be posted this week :spoton:

When asked about how late the issue was in coming out and he said that they are only a small family business and it takes more time to compile and also the fact that he got some late pics in which I think were the production line photos and said that they were too important not to have in this issue

So the entire issue had to be re-hashed to accomodate the new pics.

Can't wait too have my copies safe at home with one stored away and the other out to read over and over again.

Regards ............... Barry

I thought the whole idea of pre-ordering this mag was to get them weeks before they hit the stands for the general public.

I spoke to Eric also, and because I wanted an extra poster thrown in with my subscription, it delayed the posting, so I havent received mine either, but should be soon. Worth the wait anyway.

Hi Mick.

The PSN on the broadcast sheet stuck to the window of the Orange SS looks to read 530345.

Isn't that too early to be in the A9X era.

I just had a look and if thats the PSN, then it's certainly too early. It may not be the PSN though? I've looked at some broadcast sheets I have though, and none have the PSN printed in that way on them. You could be right, I honestly can't say for certain, but looking at the picture the forth car looks to be ultra blue and the fith car looks to be royal plum. The forth car looks to have a rear spoiler fitted and no antenna. I could be wrong, it may not be ultra blue, but if it is, it has to be an A9X or a car built after the A9X. The interesting one to me is the orange hatch, the 7th car. It's got the black window frames, no stripes on the doors, no chrome strips around the door edging and black door handles. These are all odd to me.

My first impression was it was a very early pic as the SS in the front line appears not to have H4 headlights which i cant explain. I must admit the sedan does look Ultra Blue and the Orange hatch at the rear of the line does appear to have black door handles but no chrome trims

Michael, does the H4s come on the GMP&A cars as H4s was one of the things I was talking to Greg about when dribbling over his GMP&A Hatchback.

It wasn't directly related to his car as I had some H4s but HIS car does have H4s fitted.
Just had a peak again at the pics I took of his car :spoton:

Please pardon my ignorance about the GMP&A bodied Hatchbacks but were they made as such at the factory or modified elsewhere?

Why is this?

I guess 'cos it doesn't have much fresh info. It's all been covered before.
Even the small articles on Harry and the import drivers is a word for word copy of other articles.

There are some new pics from the factory but that's it.

Even the pics of Peter's A9X and Rockets Replica have been seen before (not to detract from the great cars)

I'm a bit pissed at paying almost 10 bucks for a couple of new pics, in a mag that is essentially a copy of older mags.
